I remove mine. Put it inside a large, insulated leather glove. Bolt head down the middle finger, handle in the thumb. Hold it tight with a plastic tie wrap and lay it in my Pelican 1750. Works well. Just remember to include a few extra tie wraps in your gun case.

It's a simple process to cut the two center lock positions off a Pelican 1750. Took me about 10 minutes with the sawzall and a file to smooth. I believe Philip Glass is where I heard of this simple trick.

Will you be having any taxidermy done or having any trophies sent to your home? Just asking, but could you leave them with your taxidermist/dip & pack agent and have them include them with the shipment? Even if they had to make a basic display (cheaply) to say they were a part of your trophies.

I’m running 83gr of Reloader 15.5 behind the CEB 500gr solid. Speeds are right at 2100fps.

Took this guy last week. First shot quartering hit the heart. Second broke his hip as he left. Finisher thru the top of the head. Found that one at the skin on the bottom of the skull. Didn’t recover the first two. Butchering crew was pretty crazy. Lol.

Maybe I’m just lucky, but my 470 NE seems to shoot several different projectiles well. Currently prefer CEB 500gr. And with a half grain drop in powder their Raptors and Barnes TSX shoot to the same point.
