I have a 30-06 B model. It is one of my favorites. Very light and a beautiful rifle. Regarding accuracy, you will probably not reach that of a similar bolt gun. My shoots around an inch at 100 yds after a lot of load work and semi-floating the forearm with a rubber washer on the hanger.

IMO turkeys have places that they like to roost and will return to that area unless they are bothered with or the feed changes. That said gobblers later in the season may roam and not roost in the same areas as they are seeking hens that are not setting yet. They can be here today and gone...

I use those plastic shoe boxes for mine when I spray them. I threw away my lube pad long ago. if you properly use wax on some of those precision rifle cases when sizing you really don't have to wipe it off.
