That’s why competent smiths add a collared flare. Another option, although much less common, would be to index directly on the muzzle. TBAC has such a muzzle device for their CB or HUB models.

If you’re open to non cotton, Kuiu kutana pants are amazing. Very durable with venting for heat dissipation.

Are you a gunsmith? That wall thickness is plenty according to mine and I’ve had no issues with 100’s of rounds.

Yes, easy job for a good smith. If necessary, they will add a threaded collar with larger OD to provide enough shoulder for the suppressor. Search for my thread for more details. I chopped mine to 20” without much loss in velocity. Contact Longrifles Inc in SD, they are great to work with.

Yes, those Nevadas are overkill, have a much stiffer sole than necessary. Try Boyt gaiters for canvas, they’re great.

Kinda depends on how you hunt them. I can tell you rifle elk hunt on public land is exponentially more difficult than kudu. My elk hunts vs kudu were very different experiences but I love doing them both. Costs will vary greatly with public vs private, DIY vs outfitter.

Thanks for posting. I need a little more comb height and don't want to drill holes for kydex or any of the plastic ones. Seems like a good alternative option. I'd like to change a few things so it's good to know he will customize a bit.

Have you tried multiple powders? Sometimes that makes all the difference for me. Seating depth can be another major factor. Some bullets like a jump, some don't. Have you tried any factory ammo?

Definitely factors in for me to an extent. Im not willing to sacrifice durability and zero retention for a few ounces though. My mountain rifle sports a NF 2-10 which is 20oz. I went with a trijicon 1-6 on my 375HH which is 19oz.
