I heard that Sako is planning to eventually re introduce the big bore calibers on the new platform they released so now is a good time to move this. That one for 10k been there for years now it will never sell.
Gun are just hard to move anymore like alot of things the money has run out. If you can afford to sit on it I would try to sell later. I dont see things changing before the election. To sell you probably will have to take a discount
Thanks everyone.
I just did it because I like things that are different and unique. For me its just because but I plan to use it for deer and hogs. I have found these big bore bullets at 1800-2200 fps range makes up for the low BC with ft/lb of energy it exerts on target. You are not killing...
I wanted to share the final results of this unique build. DPCD is the master gunsmith for the barrel and action work. Started life as a stripped Siamese Mauser action I picked up on the cheap. Tom took on the challenge of trying to turn this into a 500 Smith and Wesson Mag bolt action rifle...
I have a lot of (10) boxes of Nazi marked 8x56R. There is 10rds to a box on (2) 5rd clips. The headstamp and the clips are Nazi marked with eagle over swas. Ammo looks very clean on the box I opened. I have (3) lots available if you want more than one message me and we can work out a deal. Dated...
Selling a new never used/never loaded Remington 7600 and I believe 7400 magazine as well. This is Remington made New old Stock for the short action family of calibers (308, 7mm-08, 243). $55 Shipped
This is a ruger No 1 single shot so I think I am ok without a crimp but I did put a snug up on them with the rcbs die when seating
What Lee FCD is it? I dont see one listed for 500J?
I previously posted that I had a Ruger No1 458 win mag rebored and chambered to 500 Jeffery. I had a few 535gr bullets that I did preliminary test fire with which went very well. After several months wait my 570gr Hawk RNSP bullets came in. The ogive is very short and in order to set these...
Selling my New and Unfired by me Southern Tactical Galil SAR SBR ready model. I decided another transferable mg was more important so I am clearing some things out. The kit like all of them had some use but overall the condition is very good and much better than many kits I have seen. The fit is...
I am selling a like new Savage 220 Bolt action 20ga Slug gun. This thing is a tack driver without the punishing recoil of a 12ga. Comes with 2 magazine and and a 3-9x40 bushnell scope and rings. I do have some 3" slugs that I will first offer to the buyer. $475 Shipped to your FFL. Shipping...
Selling an absolutely beautiful Interarms Whitworth Mauser in 375 H&H. The gun I believe was unfired when I bought it and I have shot about 40 rounds through it. Very accurate and this stock configuration is very uncommon. Condition is near mint. Trigger is a crisp and no take up at all breaks...
yea my health insurance and vehicle payment were half as much 5 years ago too lol. hell even 3 years ago for that matter. I think I will list it up here for probably 1300 shipped for now. That price point would be fine for me since shipping that long of a rifle is about $75 these days or more
Yes this has Withworth across the receiver ring just like the express models but has a monte carlo stock and no barrel band. I have seen this model before on gunbroker and other places.
I'm familiar with the express models but what would the value be on this configuration of whitworth mauser in 375HH. It appeared as new when I got it and I have put about 30 rounds through it. Very accurate. Beautiful wood. Scope is just a long eye relief bushnell that could go with but of no...
Thanks everyone. I think to start with I am going to use just below book published start load of 4350. Thats a large extruded and pretty much fills the case up. I also will see what 4895 does. I am not really looking to reduce loads just dont need or want full tilt max loads for texas hogs
I forgot this pull down is a ball powder. Thats going to leave too much room probably even for a filler. I'm going to have to just stick to an extruded 4895 or 4350 both of which i have.
Any chance someone can send me a pic of the Woodleigh manual?
I have some 500gr and some 535gr I am going to be loading for my Ruger No1 rebore to 500J. Looking to start on the very light side and work up. I have alot of a pull down powder that is similar to CFE223. This seems in the ballpark range of the faster 4895 and slower4350 loads I see...
This kit is for the 4+1 ACIS mags to make them feed reliably with shorter rounds like the 6BR, 6.5 Grendel, 224 Valkyrie or in my case 45 Raptor. Used briefly but as new. Changed to flat bottom metal. $25 Shipped
Link to product. These are $40 new plus shipping...
makes sense. I did it for the novelty of something different. I definitely understand this is not something to shoot a lot of. Sounds like the 500gr is sufficient with a mild load to start. Velocity on a pig is not necessary. If the radial brake doesn't cut enough off I figured the long...
Thanks everyone for the input. I will for sure be posting how this little adventure plays out. I have a 458win mag no 1 that has a 2" radial break and with pretty hot 500gr it makes it very manageable. I sort of expect something similar here but I can load down. Is there much difference in...
I have a Ruger No1 on its way back to me from oregunsmithing rebored and some other modification to 500 J. ( I will make a separate post about the gun later where I can answer questions or discuss it)
My question is what weight bullet would be best for this if I only intend to shoot it at...
Selling these 35cal .358 bullets as one lot. Herter 200gr is a complete (100) and the other two boxes numbers are in sharpie. The Herter became Hornady RN basically and look identical. $100 Shipped
Factory stock but a 1.5" mega recoil pad installed and also a 2" threaded radial brake. Donor gun was a tropical 458 so it was alot heavier to start with than a 45/70. But it will be exciting i imagine :)
