I have no need for the ammo but I can wholeheartedly endorse @Mark Biggerstaff as a great member to do business with here on AH. I have bought and sold several items with Mark over the years and have always been impressed with how he does business. Deal with confidence if this is ammo you need.

As far as the next 3 years go 2026- no trips planned. Just deer and pigs here at home and lots of fishing. 2027-Lion in the Omay with Dalton&York 2028-Roan and reedbuck in the Caprivi.

@Rare Breed, moose is some of the finest wild game I’ve ever eaten. Right up there with eland. Calling one in during the rut is about as exciting and action packed as a hunt can be. You wouldn’t regret a proper moose hunt for sure.

Whichever one your rifle shoot best. It would be a matter of personal preference as both bullets will preform quite well on PG

As someone who has gotten a few of these great deals here, kudos to @deewayne2003 for a tremendous snag. I probably have 10 of these scopes on various rifles and they have always preformed without issue. It will be perfect on your 300 Win. I also have the 2-10 version on both my 375H&Hs.

I have a 2-10 on my 416 Rem and love it. Not sure your intended use for your rifle but it’s capable of some longer shots and for me the extra magnification really helps and 2 power at the lower end provides plenty FOV for me. YMMV

Having never had a 338, what grain bullets and what type of MV should I be looking for?

I actually have a 338 barrel off of a different Model 70 that is either 24 or 26 inches long. I might have my gunsmith just swap barrels. Another good idea to consider.

I just got out of the 404J game a couple of months ago. I think I’m settled on my 416Rem for my go to DG rifle. Hadn’t thought of suppressing the rifle. I’ve never owned a suppressor. Now I’ve got something else to consider.

I have a left handed model 70 is 7 Rem Mag that I am considering trying to sell. It’s a real nice looking rifle with a little higher grade wood and gold inlay on the Winchester , caliber markings and made in New Haven engraving.

Here is my LH Model 70 in 375H&H. I use it quite frequently deer and pig hunting here at home. I have also taken kudu and impala. This is one of my favorite cartridges.
