As someone who has shot a few doubles…I’m more than happy with my Bolt-guns and see no reason to change. Leave the double rifles to the PH and simply focus on getting your job done.

I have the previous edition of this spotter - the non-APO version. I bought it 15+ years ago…and have never found a reason to upgrade. These are absolutely amazing spotters. GLWS!

A No. 1 is a fine rifle to use for PG. I took a Merkel K1 single shot in 7mm RM for my second safari and never felt slighted by it. As to the PRC, I used a .300 H&H in a Pre-64 M70 on my first safari…there’s absolutely nothing not to love about a 180gr. Mono-metal at 3,000 fps.

Can you give me a picture of that butt stock please? In particular the butt plate? Has that been cut and replaced or otherwise modded?
