Bob, thank you sir, I appreciate the good info. I have another 350 Rigby that has H&H scope mounts on it, I’ve reloaded for it using mono metal Hammer bullets, groups are pretty good for the old girl.

Cash_tx I found the rifle in a run down shop in London, I bought it not knowing who it had belonged to, I sent the rifles info to Max Q at Rigby, low and behold, it was confirmed to be Talbot Clifton’s.

It is an interesting read, including maps of his travels. I contacted the Clifton family through their museum in the UK, to let them know I located his “long lost” (as they put it) rifle. I sent them some pics, and they graciously sent me an autographed (by Mrs. Clifton) first edition. See pics

I will reload for and shoot the rifle, but I don’t plan on hunting with it. As Schmijar so aptly put it, I am the “caretaker” of this rifle. My plan is to keep her fit and clean in honor of Mr. Talbot.

Spike, You are probably correct, I might regret this someday. However, my gun collection has gotten OUT OF CONTROL as of late. I cant seem to lay of the 350 Rigby's and 300 H&H's! While I might regret this in the futurey, I am hoping that if I sell a gun or 2, my wife might let me sleep in...
