Yeah, but as a leftie I can settle for an OG CZ 550. 4k, dang, look what happens when you don't search online for a single day! The guys basically trying to double his money, and then some.

Thats the same 505 gibbs gun that you posted about a week earlier that was on guns international. I must have missed it by a day. Do you remember what the price was when it was listed in GI?

@colorado I was thinking of a 500 A2, but the rim diameter for that one is based on 460 weatherby, internet says it has a rim dia. of 0.579, and the Rigby bolt face is 0.590. Someone on here mentioned to me that you don't want a bolt face that is too much larger than your cartridge's rim...

Although I like the idea of the R8, I do not like the price. The cheapest .500 Jeffery LH listed on GB is $9K out the door, most of them are in the $10K-$12K range. At those prices it would seem like a custom build would be in order. Unless I can find a used one for cheaper.

Well send the details my way then. I was looking at a .500 A-square on GB that just sold for $9300. The cheapest big-bore I've seen was that CZ 550 in .505 GIbbs that was recently listed for $6700. Even the Ruger RSM on GB are $4-5K. None of which are left handed either. Not that it matters...

I think there's a A-square .425 express for sale right now on GB thats under $3K. Email them and offer less, usually works for me.

I'm pretty sure Neal Shirley more recently did the 550 Magnum, and not the 550 Express. I've seen older rifles marked 550 (Ivory) Express. I wonder if the 550 Express and 550 Ivory Express are the same?

What horrible economy? Low unemployment, low inflation, sky-high stock markets? I just saw a CZ 550 in 500 Jeffery sell on GB for over $7k. If anything prices are high right now. I lost out on an A-Square rifle last month at auction that went for $14k plus buyers premium. More likely the cause...

Did they only make 6 in LH .416 Rigby, or 6 LH total in all big bore calibers for this rifle? I thought they still made LH rifles?

@Riflecrank Sadly, it appears that the Mark V DG and Safari versions have been discontinued on their website, hopefully it's only temporary. Right now they don't even offer the 460 Wby in a LH version in the regular deluxe model on their website. Their custom shop isn't what it used to be either.

As a left handed shooter I rarely see (if ever) a left-handed rifle in a 50 caliber (or above). However, a used 375 H&H still seems to be fairly common from time to time online. I'm curious as to whether or not I can purchase a used 375 H&H rifle and use it as a donor, and have a custom rifle...

@JPmbogo This is something that I've heard as well (not sure if it's true or merely an urban legend :unsure:). Hence why I was looking for correct head-stamped brass. I didn't want to end up with a rifle and no ammo after lengthy (and costly) travel somewhere.

Have you had any experience with Quality Cartridge brass before? I've heard both good and bad stories with regards to their quality from others.

Did you ever find any 500 A-Square loaded ammo or brass? I found some brass for it at decent price online, but the guy said it has a 500 Wby. head-stamp. I always thought that the 500 Wby. was the same as the .510 Wells (express), and not the 500 A2, so I haven't bought it yet.

Just curious if the 700 AHR rifle ever sold?
