I am going to get this scope off to leupold sometime this week whenever my schedule permits and I will be getting another set of rings before the new one comes in thats for sure. With this being my first big bore rifle I am learning the hard way on alot of things.

I did the mounting and torqued everything to spec with the alaskan rings, should I go ahead and get some different rings?

Yes I ended up going with the 460 weatherby, I wanted a 458 cal that would fit on my rigby sized bolt face so that narrowed it to 450 rigby, 450 dakota and 460 wby, I really love the numbers from the rigby but the availability and cost of components favored the wby most so that was my reasoning...

Lol I'd never sell my 375 h&h I inherited it when my grandfather passed away or my 460 wby it was the very last rifle my uncle ever built before he passed away in fact I had to send it to another gunsmith for the final muzzle threading (muzzle brake for practice only wouldn't hunt with it on)...

How much extra gunsmithing would it take to convert the action to a 505 gibbs, I am assuming opening the bolt face and some feed rail work. I also imagine a few more crossbolts in the stock and maybe some wrist support
