On my last two trips to Namibia, I used 180 A Frames in my 300 Mag. only recovered a couple ( perfect mushrooms) as 12 of them all exited the other 12 animals I shot.. I'd use them again.

I was at @Kowas Adventure Safaris ( for the 12th time) right after these folks, and what they show and say is for real. Kowas runs a first class operation.

the 7mm would not be my first choice for BIG Bears, but I have killed several Eland with no problem. Bullet placement matters most and tough bullets like TSX etc.

Hummm, I'd go in the opposite direction. If my shot guns are gone, I'd look for replacements as they are old Rem M3200 Trap & Skeet. My rifles? I'd find a couple old Rem 700's in 308 or 7-08 or 270 etc. to use for practice. For hunting rifles, I'd take all of SIAI's Ins money and fly...

I too saw the same hunts and caught the Beer drinking, Not only that, but I've seen Crocs, peppered with .223 autos, etc. Also the poor marksmanship of many clients, very seldom to you see "one shot kills". Maybe if the client was not wearing a white hat or shirt, he might get close...

I was asked quite a similar question at DSC a few years ago. My answer then was "To go again as soon as possible with the folks I have been going to". Now after Covid 19 has it all screwed up..... " Just to go again soon as possible".

It is NOT stupid from a performance standpoint, but most folks are in love with the 243 Win and resale of the 6mm makes it "stupid", so if you find one, you usually can buy it very reasonable.

The "Trackers, Drivers & Skinners" are some of the hardest works on a trip. Over the years, I've hunted with many of them over and over, and always look forword to seeing their big grin when we arrive.

You do realize that asking such a questions like this is paramount to asking about your favorite Car, Beer, Religion, Politics or Unions. But "in my experience", I have found regardless of which one you use, if it is placed in the right place, the animals will die shortly.
