Why no love for the .358 Win?

I love my 358 win. Try some A 2520 powder Fed 215 primers with 250 gr Hornady bullets (Old Round Nose if you can find them) in Thin Norma brass, or W-W is next. Do not make cases from 308 G I. too heavy. Puts it right in the 35 Whelen class, and it flattens Deer ..

30 caliber swift a frame bullet performance

On my last two trips to Namibia, I used 180 A Frames in my 300 Mag. only recovered a couple ( perfect mushrooms) as 12 of them all exited the other 12 animals I shot.. I'd use them again.

    If You Lost Everything

Hummm, I'd go in the opposite direction. If my shot guns are gone, I'd look for replacements as they are old Rem M3200 Trap & Skeet. My rifles? I'd find a couple old Rem 700's in 308 or 7-08 or 270 etc. to use for practice. For hunting rifles, I'd take all of SIAI's Ins money and fly...

    Why 180gr over 200+gr in 30.06?

So far, I've killed African plains game with 29 different bullets in the 30-06, and.... and not found it to make a lot of difference. Dead is dead, bullet placement is most important. However, I was least impressed with the 200 gr Nosler Partition, and surprisingly impressed with the 150 gr...

Tell me why buying a Rifle chambered in 6MM Remington is stupid

It is NOT stupid from a performance standpoint, but most folks are in love with the 243 Win and resale of the 6mm makes it "stupid", so if you find one, you usually can buy it very reasonable.
