270 Win. enough on big tuskers?

@Red Leg …. Is that a “mule footed” hog, as in the non-cloven/un split hoof? I ask because you said it’s from Spain. We Call them “Mule Shoes” and I shot one that looked identical to that years ago in Southern Oklahoma of all places.

Which of these two rifles would you recommend for leopard?

My PH for the tuskless hunt in Zim was a self professed Leopard junkie; I asked him what his preferred caliber and ammo for clients to bring for leopard. “.300Win and Nosler Partitions, it opens fast, penetrates and is tough enough for any bait; illuminated reticles are a big advantage also.”

Leopard Hunts.... How much bait did you shoot?

Think of the question more along the lines of "How long was your piece of string?" There are certainly lots of variables so I'm trying to get the some total of what others have experienced. You make all valid points and I agree on the pre-baiting.

Leopard Hunts.... How much bait did you shoot?

Considering booking a Leopard hunt in Zimbabwe for 2027 and another post about bait pricing made me start thinking about bait volume. So for those of you who have hunted Leopard(successful or not) what kind and how many bait animals did it take to complete your hunt?
