I have an Instinct in 20g and love it. It fits great and shoulders well. I shoot better with it than my Citori that cost much more. I would highly recommend it.

If y We have tried to get rid of the hogs and a trap seems to be the most efficient. As far as the feeders go we have a 24-30” fence around them, easy for deer to jump, but keeps the hogs out. You can see the fence in my pictures in my prior post.

what is the best way to get a good euro mount from this hunt? Just have to local guys do all the work Or “Dip and pack”, ship back to the states for finishing? Any foreseeable difference in cost or time? It will only be the one mount.

Took this whitetail last deer season and got the mount back a couple of days ago. It’s the only whitetail I have had done as a wall pedestal, but I’m super pleased with how it turned out. This old guy had a couple of scars on him and I’m glad the taxidermist didn’t try to “fix” them.

I have used them for years with competitive shotgun shooting but never in a rifle. I suppose they would work just as well.

I’m a beretta guy as well 686 is hard to beat. If recoil is an issue, you can install a mercury recoil reducer into the stock.

I agree with the OP my youngest really has an aversion to loud guns, but loves shooting my suppressed firearms. The reduced recoil is also big to the young hunters. I purchased both my suppressors with my kids in mind. I don’t care about the noise or recoil, but boy have I grown to like them...

I’m looking for a lightweight rifle in 270 or 280AI for mountain hunting. My only issue is that I want a nice wood stock and most of these are all synthetic. I know wood adds weight, but I’m willing to carry the extra pound to have a rifle that’s nice to look at.

Understood, I just didn’t know if being in New Mexico had any issues/regulations on firearm sales.

Why is it of concern if you may or may not be from New Mexico?
