Thank you for recognizing the golden ratio used in your rifle. The “rule of thirds”, lines of beauty and the constant pursuit of simplicity is what guides my design efforts.
Does my heart good to read your description.
One of my customers turned me loose on his rifle. This was a blast to build and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have free reign. This rifle is chambered in 30-40 krag, hand loaded to hot .308 win velocities. It’s headed to Manitoba for black bear in March.
While I hate that I have had orders drag out for far longer than is acceptable, I am getting all of my customers taken care of and have a new design I can build and deliver on time with the Rising blocks. I struggled for years with the falling block double designs and after five years of beating...
Thank you. I enjoy this forum.
I am building a rising block double in 30R blaser right now. I have a 9.3X74R coming up next.
Here is a picture of the 30R blaser
Applying the final coats of stock finish, finishing off screw heads and any final touch ups required. Undoubtedly the most ornate rifle I’ve made to date. Two barrel sets, lots of sculpted engraving and almost 11 feet of gold inlays. Not to mention that incredible wood. It's been a humbling...

Regulated the second barrel set on a heavily engraved Rising block rifle today. 450-400 3" barrels. It's fun when you get this kind of regulation after 14 rounds. 50yds, but when the barrels are shooting parallel, they will maintain this spread over a great distance.

@tarbe Aaron use to work for me/ with me for 3 years right after he graduated. I knew early on that I was to steward him towards going out on his own. He was way to talented and worth more than I could pay him.
Here is the stock blank for the 6.5X65R barreled action. Well selected by the customer. Should turn a stunner of a stock. I won't be stocking it. That will be done by Aaron Little. Very talented and will do a fantastic job.
