This is the seating arrangement that goes away starting this June. I looked at the new aircraft last night and row 41J no longer exists on the new air craft. Bummer!!!
Guys As mentioned I have not flown the new plane which starts next month for this flight. The old flight was not an air bus. The new flights might not have that type seat which would be a real bummer!!! Used to absolutely be the best value for the money
On my last hunt three weeks ago I used solids on a lone buffalo by herself no animals behind her. They performed fine CEB. Normally however I only take Barnes TSX and they have never let me down on buff
Let me see if I can help given I reloaded for two of them. First powder. Either RL15.5 or IMR3031 if you want to achieve 2150 fps with the lowest felt recoil. That’s the game. find your targeted fps then pick the powder that delivers that at the lowest grains. For example instead of my two...
No brainer. Delta direct has changed aircraft and so seat configuration starting June this year. Pull up the flight seat arrangement. Find the two seats one on each side of the aircraft that are exit row but the window seat does not have a seat in front of it…no it is not by the urinal either...
I choose to use a Leupold 50 Objective with low to high variable with Fire dot reticle. Certainly a top end I looked at was the Swaro V8i. Having owned a variety of top end Swaro I just found too many of them had limited horizontal adjustment. For the money I paid for them I just found Leupold...
Not me my friend if it is a DG hunt. PG is fine. When I get off the truck on a DG hunt I inform my PH I am loading up with safety on always. I would not hunt with a PH otherwise
I screwed up with @gearguywb and gave him my FFL i always use only to find they closed yesterday. He is my hero and caught the package before it shipped and is now shipping to another one. So appreciate his patience with muy mistake!!!
I hunted the East Cape with Game 4 Africa. I did the following with their 7MM. Kudu 300 yards up hill. Zebra 75 yards. Impala 125 yards. Black Wildebeest 75 yards Springbok 280 yards. hope this helps
I use Otto. They are expensive $425 but they have two levels of hearing enhancement so I can hear my PH whisper yet immediately cut out the roar of my rifle.
I know this is an old thread but my 404 J was also built on the Montana 1999 system only all stainless steel. I could not believe its accuracy on my Africa hunt two weeks ago. Amazing!!!
The GB person scammed was me for the first time with lessons learned. I told gearguywb it must be fate for me to buy this rifle from him given his first name is the same as my dad’s middle name…you can’t make this up. I am very happy with this purchase and congratulations on yours!!!
The answer is where you are comfortable placing your first shot in the kill zone. Given i have bought and shot many doubles and shot four cape buff with them I would do the following: 1. Start at 50 yards off sticks. Once you are placing all your shots in the kill zone move back to 75 yards and...
Does not matter. I just lost $2500 for the first time on GB to a scammer. I then swore I would only buy guns on here with all of us. I just bought a 7x57 from one of our members. Lesson learned
Given you have three great bolt action rifles I would opt for a DR in 470 or 500 NE to finish you out. You named three very good ones given I have owned them
I did not mean to imply all of them were that way…my apologies. The good news is it is now rare to find one that has not been fixed. The one offered here of course is not a bad one so you can buy with confidence
