I would suggest you order the components brass and bullets that can be regularly shipped. Reimer Johannsen is the source for Sax. Shipping loaded ammo across the pond is insane. But unrestricted components make little trouble Germany to Canada. Looking at load data for the 105 gr 7 mm bullets...

24" Heym barrel on Abolt 3 ( gun 1) and FN Mauser ( gun 2). Slightly diffent depth of reaming. I started with powders in the H100/H4350/STBALL 6.5 class and ran into rather sudden pressure issues at about 2700 fps for 250 gr ( GMX and Woodleigh) and 2640 fps for 286 gr ( partition and Privi)...

H4895 and 270 gr bullets from Hornady or speer. H 4895 can be reduced to even 60% of max load without detriment ( google reduced loads), even around 50-52 gr would give you about 2000 fps. which should be pretty soft shooting. or if you want to get into the 1300 fps range, try Trailboss.

I think they do/should, they certainly are hollow points, and at impact the expand at the tip to about 1.2 times bullet diameter. Would be interesting if Norfork has actually obtained any official approval for that, Canada or elsewhere.

I have a Sauer 90 in 8x 68, I load 160 gr TTSX to 3400 fps and 220 gr Woodleigh to conservative 2820 fps. it likes H100 v with the 160 gr and H4831 or Superformance with the heavier loads. Does everything you need to do in Canada.

completely agree, who said it was rotator cuff? the shoulder is complex, step 1 is a good physical exam, step 2 an MRI. How you "buggered it up" would be a first hint to what is wrong ( mechanism of injury). Is it a strain, an incomplete or a complete tear of whatever is wrong. Good luck...

actually no, it is at the upper range of what Barnes quotes and that is within the Rigby pressure constraints, smoke yes, but at normal pressure.

Loading for a CZ 550 in 416 Rigby that I have had for a couple of years. My go to hunting bullet in Canada is a GSC monolithic, 255 gr that flies flat and does everything here ( and likely in Afrika , if I ever make it). My plan B load ( as GSC does not exist anymore ) is a load of 97 gr H100V...

My favorite powders in a 9.3x375ruger are CFE223 , better than varget, h100 v, and for heavy bullets, eg 285 gr, superformace. Stball 6.5 was disappointing with pressure signs at sub max speed, rather suddenly.

loading for a 9.3x375 Ruger, H100v, CFE223 and 6.5 Stball are fastest and most consistent for 250 gr bullets. I don't think H4350 and Varget are "worse" , just a tad slower

@Kevin375 thank you for the write up, this is an excellent gallery of bullet performance. Quite typical of the standard cup and core. I would not call it a bad bullet, as for everything you have to be aware of the limitations of the product. This is not a bullet for high-speed or bone crunching...

Pictures would be good. Lots of german hunters on the forum here. 30-06 was the same in East Germany, but very uncommon. Sounds like a gun made for export. Look for the Q1 stamp. Some break actions do fine with higher pressure cartridges like 270 or 30.-06.

I just checked the ADI data, thanks for the pointer. I am loading 97 gr of H100v behind a 350 gr Barnes TTSX, nearly 20 grain less than suggested by ADI for a 350 gr Speer hotcor and still getting 2580 fps... I'll just start from square 1.
