“5 Full Hunting days with 5 Management Game of either Gemsbok, Zebra and Blue Wildebeest for USD 2 950.” I’m interested in this hunt for mid June 2026. Do you think that it may be offered again in 2026? In addition, what is the cost for observers? I may have some family members who will wish to...
I like the idea since tungsten is both heavier and harder than lead. This is what I would buy when it is in stock.

I am going down a similar path as you SRvet. I love the 300 grain Swift A-Frame in my 375 but want a better option for smaller game with the 375. Recently, I have been shooting the 250 TTSX. I have loaded it with Varget and am getting 2811fps. It shoots 5” higher than the 300 grain Swift with no...
Did you see this on gunbroker? Peter Hathaway Capstick’s Model 70 375 H&H is on gunbroker for $25,000. I just thought it was cool. Not associated with me in any way. You can own a piece of history.

I love hunting and shooting. I think long range shooting definitely helps me be a better shooter and hunter. This is my favorite western rifle. 28 Nosler. 175NABLR’s @ 3090fps. I love the Burris Eliminator scope for speed and ease of use when hunting. I normally shoot elk at just under 500 yards...
Thanks for sharing. Very interesting.
This is a test I did with a 300 grain Swift A-Frame bullet from a 375 H&H through milk jugs. It penetrated 8 - 1 gallon milk jugs.
Kudu are king in Limpopo. You will love hunting them.
It also depends upon which area of Limpopo you are hunting? For your list I would focus on eland. You might see a huge warthog anytime so I would classify them as an opportunistic target. Tssebee have been stocked and are in significant...
I think that Safari hunting and dangerous game hunting in particular will be very similar to what it is today. Just 25 to 50% more expensive. Right now is the best time to hunt elephant. Over population is driving down the prices especially in Zimbabwe.

It looks like a lot of fun!
My favorite do all load for my 375 H&H is a 300 grain Swift A-Frame at 2500 fps. This is great out to 200 yards or so. Which is perfect for bushveld conditions. If you want a little more velocity then go with a 250 grain at about 2800. This load can be good out to 300 yards or so. Also if you...
I think your load will be excellent for dangerous game. Have you chronographed your load. I'm curious about your velocity. I've never used IMR4064. I have used RL-15 and Varget with good success.
A couple of years ago I killed a Cape Buffalo with a 375 H&H loaded with Barnes TSX. I was using a camp rifle with camp ammunition. The buffalo was shot standing broadside at 60 yards. The bullet completely passed through both shoulders. Entry and exit holes looked identical. At the shot the...
RL-15 has produced the best accuracy with 300 grain A-Frames. But RL-15 is impossible to find right now. So I use Varget as a replacement. I have not got as good of accuracy with Varget but it is supposed to be more temperature stable though. I have also shot 250 TTSX which land about 4 inches...
I'm interested to see if anyone else has performed a similar test to mine. If so please post the results. I repeated this test yesterday and had similar results. Although this time I used Varget powder instead of RL-15 because my RL-15 supply is nearly gone. I also did not run these rounds over...
The 375 H&H is not a very good bench rest gun for shooting tiny groups, but it is very accurate and is capable of sub 1 moa or better groups. It is not a long range round but is plenty capable out to 300 yards. It is a thumper that with the right bullets is capable of the largest of game. It is...
You can't go wrong with any of your choices. All great rifles and all great scopes. Reading between the lines, it sounds like you love the Gunwerks Skuhl so I think you should go with it. Shoot it often and it will serve you well.
My advice: you be you! If you like the 6.5-300 Weatherby then use the 6.5-300 Weatherby. But, (there is always a but) use the right bullets or only take the shot if the conditions are conducive.
Right Bullets. Use premium deep penetrating bullets like Swift A-Frame, Swift Scirroco, Nosler...
@Alistair, I am happy to hear that my post inspired you to post this post. I enjoyed reading it. I agree with you when you express that for accurate conclusions to be drawn accurate data must be compiled and analyzed. I also agree with your point which is that the more data that is compiled the...
Agreed! But those Swift A-Frames are expensive. Ha Ha! I will give it another try sometime in the future and post those results. I would be interested to see if others have similar results.
I developed the load crimping all the rounds since this is a 375 H&H which is used as a dangerous game rifle. I shot 1 and 1/2 to 2 inch groups at 100 yards with it. I am happy with that accuracy. I thought I would just see what not crimping would do. Interesting results. I also agree with...
