270 Win. enough on big tuskers?

I think that a .270 Winchester is more than capable of taking any pig on this planet. Using a good 150 grain bullet will work best. If you feel you need more power, go a lot bigger. Jump to something in the range of a .375 or .416. Just my opinion

    Brian Wilson

Ŵe got to see the Beach Boys in concert at MCAS New River back in Dec of 2002. We froze our tails off but they put on a great show. I remember him saying that had they knew they would be doing concerts 50 years later they would have made a lot more slow songs!

First, none of the last three Democrat Presidents served. Clinton actively evaded the draft and Lord only knows how Biden evaded. I know that Trump had a medical deferment. Second, I guess you haven't listened to his speech. Even this Marine likes what he has said. Two of my sons were...

What new Ruger would you like to see in a limited special run?

Those actions were never unsafe. I much preferred how they worked over the MKII control round feed actions. They all felt smsother to me, along with the safety being where it is so much more convconvenient. I have owned about a dozen or so of them and still have two.

    458 Win vs 460 Weatherby

My limited exposure with the .460 Weatherby made me decide to look for something less painful. I was so bruised I looked like I had lost an argument with a pissed off gorilla! That rifle was a beautiful piece of steel and wood but i never took anothershot when offered. Itwas just to light...

Well, it seems I kicked up a hornets nest with my semi-serious idea to spray the rioting dipshits with gasoline to stop them from using fire. Oh well, I have a second idea that everyone should be able to agree upon. I prefer tactics that will rapidly change the situation, whether a riot or a...

You are correct, sir! There is a real difference between "crowd control" at a truly peaceful protest and stopping a full fledged riot. When one is faced with force one must return the favor. I was taught very violent, basic, and crude maneuvers in riot control and urban warfare (which is...

Suggestion? I think not. Merely providing a simple solution to the tactical problem. I would not be the ignitor but only helping the rioting morons take a decision in a rapidly evolving situation, allowing those soaked with gasoline to decide on ceasing their idiotic behaviors or rapid suicide.

The Marine in me is to take a different tact to those firing fireworks and molotov cocktails. A tanker full of gasoline with a high pressure pump, aim and spray protesters. They will immediately cease or self ignite. Either way the riot is over

MSRP vs Street price of new Win 70 safari 375

I get the same question every time I look at gun prices. I have not seen much of anything that is much lower than msrp, unless it was a handgun that after the cost of getting it from VA to NC kills any savings. Locally I have seen even used Glocks at full price!

Avoiding CTE, brain damage, retina injury etc with big bore rifles ?

The worst feeling recoil I ever experienced was a .300 WinMag out of what I was told was a stock Remington 700. My buddies .460 Weatherby hurt less for one round. I agree that the same round in a different rifle might make a difference or a slightly lighter load.

    “Manners maketh man”
