Yes agree used my 375 on my eland .....tbh I will only take my 375 out with me on future visits.

30-06 180g fine for me shot Black and Blue Wildebeest, Mountain and Burchalls zebra, Waterbuck, Red Hartebeest, distances 50-200m ....shot placement more important.

Easily done yourself but if you are paying for an expediting service through Jo'burg such as Afton Guest House they will send you a completed example as a guide. It is quite a simple procedure. If transfer times are tight for connecting flights then I would pay to use the meet and greet service...

Namibia with Brian Kibble

I used my 30-06 in Namibia with 180g trophy bonded rounds. Took wildebeest (black and blue), waterbuck, mountain and Burchalls zebra, warthog, blesbock, and red hartebeest at ranges between 60-270m. Very adequate round.

I use a Tilley and a ball cap both are suitable

I have used 30-06 on all plains game with no problem - shot placement is obviously key.

Bumped into these giraffe on drive back to camp in Namibia and they gave a great photo opportunity as they were browsing early evening.

Good advice from Royal.....and practice standing, sitting, kneeling, shooting downhill, uphill. You will need to be comfortable with all positions. Hope the hunt goes well!

I shot one of each and had them both shoulder mounted. The blue has a fantastic pelt, really impressive colourings

Travelling to Namibia from the UK I always use SA Airways . Flight from London Heathrow to Jo'burg and connect through to Windhoek with SA. Rifles go straight through and collect in Windhoek. Very quick and easy

Zebra make great rugs and I also have impala and waterbuck. I've seen cushions made with waterbuck where the "white ring" completes a near circle on one side of the cushion.

Praying for a safe return, have just donated . Thoughts are with the family at this worrying time.

I hunted with Mankazana safari's last October and had a fantastic time - truly wild, walk and stalk. Plenty of kudu, impala, bushbuck, warthog, blesbok, zebra.
