I use Riflepermits, they make it pretty easy. They will send you an email with attachments of forms you print out, fill out, then send back to them. For the main SAPS form they will also include an 'example' of a filled out form, saves you a lot of hassle. I love my guns and I like to hunt...

While those will work, don't be shocked if your guide is wearing sandals, seriously, wear whatever you have that is comfortable. I personally wear Oboz brand boots from Sportsmans Warehouse.

I used Barnes TSX on mine, but if I were ever to hunt another lion I would use either Northfork Percussion Point or Accubond.

I had my giraffe mounted with just 4’ of the neck, it looked good in my room that was also 9’6” tall. If I can find a pic of it I’ll send it to you. I sold about 1/3 of my mounts last year and that was one of them.

Scope weight is very important to me, I like a lightweight rifle, I do not feel the need to be carrying extra weight around all day hunting. The rifle I have carried for the bulk of my safaris is a .375H&H, with a Leupold 1x6 Patrol scope my rig weighs an even 8lbs.
