    35 Whelen rate of twist?

Unlikely your Ruger has a 1-10 twist. That would be abnormally fast for this round and would be doubtful Ruger would go that route. Unless its a custom barrel...

Last One!! English Deluxe Whitworth Rifle .375 H&H

FOR SALE Browning 1895 .30-40 Krag

Have a nice used mid 80's Miroku Browning in .30-40 Krag. All original but no box or papers. I purchased a new Win that is drilled for sights and these Browning's never were and old eyes and open sights dont make for good shooting. Bluing is nice but for some light scratching on the receiver...

    7.5 x 55 Swiss Smith/Ruben K31 rifle

Getting the shell deflector to reliably kick cases out of the action may take some fiddling. For my purposes, if I get them out most of the time, thats OK but I dont have 100 percent. The deflector is adjustable however.

Remington 30 Express 30-06 - Curious to find out more info

I had one years ago in 06, but it was boring in that caliber, I have so many! In .30 Rem its almost a Unicorn and will be more interesting I think.

Remington 30 Express 30-06 - Curious to find out more info

I know this is old, but just today I snagged a pretty rare 30 Express in .30 Remington. Most by far are 30-06 and the smaller Rem rounds are rarely seen, this is the only .30 Rem I have seen and it wasnt even on my radar, was looking at something else when it popped up about 10 days ago...

Ruger Hawkeye African .35 Whelen FOR SALE

Less common anyway. I know they dont chamber it anymore. Found an extra mag for it on ebay the other day, not an easy find either. Most of the sellers call their Mk 1 mags Mk2 mags or interchangeable but they are not the same.

    50 alaskan

I have some .50 AK brass on hand to reform to .45/75 Winchester for my Uberti 1876 lever action. I also have some .458 Win mag brass in some amounts. Just for giggles, I compared powder capacity between one each of the two using ball powder. They both held the same amount of powder, exactly.

Ruger Hawkeye African .35 Whelen FOR SALE

Due to safe overflow and no room for more safes, this one is on the block. Almost new, has a whopping 75 rounds or so thru it, just enough to know it works right and shoots. Comes with about 175 pcs of brass, R-P and Hornady, all used but a few new. In the box with all acc. and unused rings...

    35 Whelen

I know this is old but been a long back and forth about the abilities of the Whelen as compared to the .338 Win and I have always contended that given similar pressure levels, the larger cased .338 will rule the roost and I have posted this before in another thread but...with top loads in a 25"...

I should be in Africa right now!

Not that close, but I did have a much anticipated trip to Zambia planned when my wife was diagnosed with cancer, so had to cancel that. Her cancer is now in remission, but it wouldn't feel right dashing off to Africa while she still deals with it, so probably not much chance of it happening...

    Ruger K1-S .35 Whelen

Some of you must have seen these out now? K1-S is the medium weight, but is still 22" and not 24". Stainless and walnut, several on GB, all appear to have real nice walnut stocks. A bit pricey but nice rifles. I think if I didnt already have the African 77 I would pop for one of these.

    303 or 45-70?

I had the .303 for a while, but sold it as I just didnt get along well with the rifle, I found it very awkward especially with a scope mounted. It shot well, but I think I have been spoiled by the Ruger No.1 system which is much more user friendly at least to me.
