Thanks for above explanation, its a pity this is the road they chose, a great cartridege for sure but loaded ammunition is very expensive this part of the world, and reloading is part of the process for the perfect hunt for me.

Look at a boot with a non agressive tread pattern, stones get stuck inthe tread and makes scratchy noises, lightweight leather boots with ankle support works well, would love a pair of Courtneys but out of my price range.

I only have 1 hunting rifle which is the Howa .375, i decided on 1 rifle and chose the .375 as an all rounder hence the reason to hunt the Gemsbok with that calibre.
I will go to the range again before the hunt to make sure all is 100%.
