Maybe where you live that the case. But in San Antonio it’s not. There are plenty of poor folks who spend their last dime to send their kids to Catholic school at least till the 8th grade.
Because the D controlled Congress did not make any spending cut and instead increased spending.
You act like everyone only had a "6th grade education" (let's see if you get the reference) before the Feds started the Dept of Education. All that did was create jobs for the administrative state...
No expert here, but my two cents. Hunted:
Greater Kudu - high fence
Lesser Kudu - free range
European Red - free range, but managed
Elk -private land low fence
Both Kudu were just pure luck. Greater headed back to the lodge for lunch, and standing 50 yards off the road in the brush. Lesser...
I see Qatar caught up with Emirates with online booking. I will still use an agent with Qatar. Both still not the ease of BA, but not the ripoff fee either.
Girl friend in mid 80’ was from Cheyanne, stopped Fort Collins a lot. Seemed like Austin to me at the time and not College Station. And you say Bolder is worse. I will pass on living in Colorado
I hope I age out before I am priced out. RSA is a bargain for plains game for what you get. It's after the hunt where the pricing out starts to be a problem. My next Africa hunt I am trying to cram two different hunts into one trip and make it hopefully my last to Africa. At 65, not much time...
(1) NA - Somewhere I can find and kill a 380+ Elk that's not high fenced. Alaska for Sheep and Mountain Goat
(2) Europe - Switzerland or Slovenia Alpine Ibex
(3) Africa - Tanzania & Uganda.
(4) Asia - Mongolia full bag; Nepal Tahr
AA&E Neoprene slip-on pad. It takes the recoil of my 375 down to my 308. Switch them out at the end of the day to have time for the pad to go back to original. Slips over the stock and keeps your firearm factory.
Pay for 21 day full bag Tanzania safari, charter of a Caravan and the PH does the killing. He could have just stayed home, have a video WhatsApp call, tell the PH to shoot and then just ship them home for his "wall of death."
If it’s really the poor man big 5, Impala, Blesbok, common reedbuck, bushbuck, Springbok, red hartebeest
The rich man’s big 5, bongo, mountain nyala, lord derby eland, sitatunga, 100+ elephant.
I'm sure British American Tobacco is not happy. While I don't smoke and happy public places are now smoke free. All this will do is create a black market and more crime. Just what the UK needs.
I will agree with everyone else, 42% is unacceptable a few weeks out. To me its sounds like (1) he did not control his own area and his new ranch cost him a lot more. (2) It's a put and take operation and his suppliers charged him more then he expected, plus his profit. Whatever the reason, I...
I’ve been to Cannes, Nice and Monte Carlo. I spent my beach time at Cannes which I can highly recommend.
In Monte Carlo, you have the aquarium and the Casino. The Casino is in two parts. The tourist section is up front. Seriously business is in the rear, dress code and a big wad of money required.
You have lots of choices to pick from. Discover Air does have a direct flight from Frankfurt, which avoids JNB. As you are not flying with firearms, you have several EU and Gulf carriers to choose from, but they all go into JNB. Frankly, I try to avoid US carriers when traveling Long Haul...
I went to Spikes place in 2023 and booked a Qatar flight what was code share from JNB to Ndola - a Qatar flight number for a flight operated by Airlink. Qatar Air in Qatar would not approve my travel with a firearm as no code shares allowed. With Debbie Gracy’s help, I was able to get a work...
You cannot have any other airlines in your reservation/ticket with Qatar and you cannot have any code share flights with Qatar too. The work around is 2 separate tickets. The no code share flights has been at least 2023.
(1) my booking agent traveled with me to each place we hunted and he did all the driving when I was in Croatia. I was thankful for the transportation. When in Slovenia he just dropped off and pick up to Bled.
(2) unfortunately, some European countries have the VAT as an add on and not included...
With only two hours I hope you are using a Prepaid Gun service and VIP to get through immigration. Otherwise, that's very little time to get to SAPS office, go pay the fee at the Airlink office, check your gun at the ticket counter and then walk it to the gun drop.
I have flown Turkish 777 in Business several times, great in air service, ground service not so much, seats are good. However, I have not flown with firearms. I have a friend that does regularly and he states no problems with Turkish and firearms, just a very steep fee (he flys coach).
I've...
My heirs have already asked, when I die where to sell my taxidermy and guns. So much for tales of my hunting adventures being passed out.
At least I am going to have the last laugh and will being controlling the money from my grave.
I have not flown either of them to JNB, I have flown both of those carriers long haul. I’ve flown Delta several times and United once. And once was more than enough for me to never fly United long haul again, unless there’s no alternative.
$250 SF, is a bargain. Here, most are at 350 to 450. I interviewed one architect that said he would not design any house that was under 600. And his fee started at 180k. That’s crazy west Austin money.
I suggest that you call Coppersmith in DFW and find out about the outrageous USDA charges at DFW. Sorry, but will will not ship anything directly to DFW. Find a USDA port of entry that does not charge and then forward to DFW.
