I am a Taylor fan for sure… But if you have a 416 Ruger already, why make it a Taylor?? The ruger action will definitely work, but I don’t see a lot of benefit except that you get to build a cool custom gun… which is all right in my book… So I say build away!! And keep us updated :D Beers:

If it’s completed taxidermy, you have the paperwork, declare it and it’s not a “cities” animal….It should not be a problem. No different than purchasing a finished zebra hide at the airport….

Knives. candy, soccer balls for kids, ect are always popular….. just don’t consider gifts as part of their cash tip….

Have a look at Khomas Highland Safaris. They are a site supporting outfitters, great German family that just built a new lodge, have horse back trips for the wife and they can do site seeing and fishing trips to Swakopmund. Great hunting as well. Highly recommended…...

The weight is the downside if you looking to take lots of gear. I personally like it because I don’t pack that heavy, and I anything I do pack (camera gear, ect) is reasonably secure. I have also brought fragile (glass & wood) souvenirs and gifts back to the States without them getting broken...
