I can't tell you how they perform cause i decided to spot and stalk the only animal i got a shot off on was a warthog that matrixed my arrow. you should be fine. i use a 410 grain 65lbs Hoyt now for moose so you...

    BOWHUNTING Moose

Shoulder or no shoulder shot? I plan on shooting a 60# Hoyt defiant this moose season with supposedly 400 grain arrows with a 125 grain G5 montec (included in the 400 grains) if it is not ready in time i am shooting a bear attitude with the same set up. the Hoyt is pushing 64.9 ft/lbs of KE...

thats the same here in Ontario unless you are bow hunting, which you only need orange during the gun season and only when moving to the stand or blind

Opinion on Hoyt Carbon Defiant 31

i haven't seen a dealer near me that has Obsession bows. I'm already driving a good hour to Shooter Choice, which is the only bow shop near me that has a range.

Opinion on Hoyt Carbon Defiant 31

Ive been looking into a new bow for a while now and i have narrowed it down to the Elite Impulse 31 and the Hoyt Carbon Defiant 31. I have heard amazing things about the hoyt, mainly the fact that the string angles like a 34" bow. I still have to shoot it for myself. The Elite has a very solid...

    Hunting Clothing: which is best?

I live in Ontario, Canada and currently i wear redhead. I have come to find, as we slowly increase the intensity level of our hunts, this will no longer suffice. Recently, my dad has purchased Kuiu and raves about it. I got my Cabelas catalog today as was flipping threw when i noticed Sitka. I...

Is my bow good enough for moose hunting?

Not questioning your skills, I heard that moose hunts are successful 1/13 years. I was just wanting to know if that's true
  35. nuval.J2711

Is my bow good enough for moose hunting?

  41. nuval.J2711

Is my bow good enough for moose hunting?

As many may know, I shoot a Bear Attitude 60# 27inch draw slinging a 425 grain arrow, not sure of the speed though. The legal limit for moose in Ontario is 54# and I have been worried that my bow, being barely over the limit, will not have the energy output required to go through the shoulders...

Looking at either the Hoyt Defiant 34 or the Elite Impulse 34, any recommendations

The Hoyt shoots up to 350fps because of the turbo cams, but I was planning on going to shooters choice to shoot all the bows;)

Looking at either the Hoyt Defiant 34 or the Elite Impulse 34, any recommendations

Great job on the Rams by the way. I hesitated on a nice one with my bow when Marius told me to draw and shoot:cry: should always listen to the pro:A Bang Head:

Looking at either the Hoyt Defiant 34 or the Elite Impulse 34, any recommendations

I believe that bump you are feeling could be the back wall, correct me if I'm wrong considering you own the bow, but when I shot the elite at the sportsman show it had a back wall that required me to use force to let the string forward.
