Thank you for considering starting a chapter. This is something we can look into further. The best thing to do is to come to the SCI Convention next year and network with others from Europe and get some ideas and advice.
I've hunted with Barnes TSX in something like 6 calibers now and highly recommend it. For lion I would probably go with Accubond or A Frame. I took my lion with 300g Accubond. I took a leopard last year with 180g Swift Scirroco. You definitely want the right bullet for the animal!

Sort answer is yes Swaro is worth it. In my experience there is never a real reason to remove a scope but it is fine to be able to do so. This is part of the major overthinking we all tend to do for a safari.
here is my latest video and worth the watch before you invest in new optics.
That is good to know. My wife and I are traveling to Spain in December and have snagged AA business. I've only taken AA overseas business once before. It was when I was hired a couple of years ago to do some sheep consulting in the West Bank and Golan Heights in Israel. We flew to JFK then to...
I've realized why here are so many reports of these A350's with the old business class Flying now as opposed to a couple years ago. These were returned to service recently after the trouble with Airbus and the paint coming off. All that was resolved and they let all that time go by and not...
I had Patrick Wright find me this current deal which was half price But went through JNB.
I just had my first big success with Google flight alerts. I was working on our Spain trip for December on AA (no guns). I was waiting and watching to try to use Aadvantage miles to buy two business class...
My son and I both have an R8. His is the Pro S and mine is the Professional Success leather. I put the bipod adapter on his rifle a while back. This requires removing and replacing the fore end of the stock with the bipod enabled piece. It makes it accept the Spartan bipod and is a neat setup...
I flew United Midland to Houston and then Air France Houston to Paris to Douala. I flew premium economy which was ok but I was very fortunate to be able to upgrade to business on one leg outbound to CDG. That was amazing!
Ok that is news to me. I was seeing both planes going to JNB being QSuite when I was researching this months ago. It is true that Qatar has something like 5 different plane configurations and they have been very slow to get Qsuite on all of them. Bummer!
My flights ,732 (A350-1000) & 1363...
I am already planning my August 2025 Safari to Chewore South with D&Y. I am hoping to find a deal like I did this year but with direct flights to HRE skipping JNB all together.
I was quite fortunate that I was able to get a good deal on AA for my Spain trip later this year by using Google flight...
Airlink is very good and as far as the "in the air product" are one of the best airlines today. The hiccup is on check in. as with all African airports, no ticket agents are able to take payments. You have to take the extra step of after checking in going to pay the baggage fees and rifle fees...
Oh man Charlie did we have a great time together! What great memories. I am powerless against hunting Zim. It is on my calendar for the foreseeable future!

As I had mentioned before this started in Europe and now migrated to South Africa. Much like the ammo checked separate, this also started in Europe and RSA follows. RSA is not allowing clothing in the suitcase.
THE CLOTHING DIRECTIVE CAME DIRECTLY FROM MY TRAVEL AGENT, PATRICK WRIGHT.

I am shocked that some of you feel that this post was some kind of self promotion for me. I have hunted a private land rhino and I have not hunted a CBL. I don't have a "dog in the hunt" so to speak On CBL. I just want to do what is right and what is happening Now is wrong.
I am out for a while...
There certainly are black rhinos in Namibia and that is where many of the notable ones have been hunted in recent years. Black rhinos are not publicized because there are only a tiny handful hunted each year, they go for $400k, and the antis are always after those who hunt them.
CBL is a dishonest industry? Sir there are dishonest people in every line of work. It is just the CBL, since it is an animal you can make a stuffed animal/teddy bear out of, it gets more attention from the public and people like you. What about the dishonest sable or whitetail deer breeders...
You moron, this is not about me but John Hume who was the largest rhino breeder in history! Do you not understand the timing here? John just sold out to the government and now the government is taking all the rhinos. Fishy for sure.
We used to get Membership cards but I don't think so anymore.
You will have to contact the local chapter for more information there. It should be readily available.

Are you just browsing or are you wanting to sign up for membership? The reason I ask is that when you sign up it gives you the list to choose from if you would like to sign up as a chapter member as well.
Some information is for members only so you have to be logged in.
There are many...
You do NOT have to be a member of a chapter. There are many people in your situation. I am sorry you don't have one in your area. You could start one!
We would love to have you at the convention in Nashville where you can connect with many European SCI members.
We we need y'all to jump on it anyway. Discounts are wonderful, and I mentioned the convention pass, but we are losing our hunting rights and must fight. It takes us all!
One offer that has been going for a couple years now is that with a life membership you get a free full convention pass. That is worth over $400 so a good incentive.lets go to Nashville!
