A study done years ago….. the .25 caliber killed more deer at a devastating rate than any caliber in-terms of point of impact vs. distance to recovery…… basically distance from where they where hit. That was done based on calibers ranging from 223-300WM. The good old 25-06 is/was a beast to be...

I think just about all calibers have their haters…. 308, 30-06, etc. The 6.5 is a great flat round that has great performance. However, my personal experience is that it is fast & is not designed to open up fast. Do anything inside 100…. It’s not expanding, anything over 300 it may lose some...

I flew Emirates a few years back…. The coach situation stateside was a zoo. 100+ rushing & faking handicap to get to seat first. Many wanting to sleep anywhere…. Lay down on floor. They didn’t have it. I feel bad for flight attendants. All & all it was a good experience. They handle guns...

When I shot one back in 2018, they could not be brought back. The landowner had a full body mount done, he was quite pleased. As that beast killed a ton of his livestock.

About $4k+…… 98% of Texas-is privately owned. So that means likely you would need to hunt on someone’s private ranch. They are not stupid, they know what they have. Most times they will sub out the rights to guides & outfitters. Exotics do not have a “limit” or quota.

To each there own….I’ve been to Africa 3x…. I went for the animals& the experience.got those that cannot go or do not want to for whatever reason, it’s nice that there is an option for them. I have no problem with “exotic” hunting if done ethically. Happy hunting! BWH - a Texan

I flew it back in 2014…. I think it was called Delta one. It was great. I had my own lay down cubby. Service was fine. In the 16 hour flight I got about 7 hours of sleep. I was on the flight with a NFL hall of famer. We. got to talk a lot & drink a lot. Couple of movies… food, drink & sleep...

It’s all about the experience…. I’ve taken my daughter to shoot doe & Turkey. Those are some of my favorites… I’m a waterfowler, each hunt is a great trip, for a duck, goose or crane. It’s the experience, not the horn length. Enjoy your time!
