I think some are missing the fact that the rifle comes with a threaded cap to replace the break. So it is entirely up to the individual (y)
I'll let you know how they go in a few weeks when I get the Profession in 300WM that I just ordered. Should make a fine mountain rifle.
Thanks for the info and pics CTD.
Interested to hear why you don't like the fluted bolt? Other than being largely pointless other than for weight reduction.
Cheers,

The break is removable and it comes with a threaded cap. I personally like the stock design particularly on the Professional model. To me they seem to be a decent package - it comes bedded, ceracoated and with a sub MOA guarantee. I won't be buying a Big 5 model as I can't go past my Ruger for...
Not sure if this has been posted but this manufacturer has my interest... Has anyone handled or shot one of these? I would be keen to hear your feedback.

A Zeiss Duralyt 2-8x42 Illuminated - I posted a review here a while ago.

I indeed share CT Dolans sentiments of the Guide Gun and the 375R and 416R. Here are a few with my 375R Guide Gun... nothing compared to your beautiful trophies above
Both great - from memory the Leica's range is a little better suited to bow hunters. The Swaro's start at 30 yds. Swaro customer care is second to none.
Great pics everyone.
Johnnyblues - you have some great trophies. That Chamois is a cracker. Is he from NZ? Also love that white tail pedestal mount with the snow on it.
Cheers

I don't know how any manufacturer of ammunition can offer an accuracy guarantee. It will shoot differently out of every rifle. I would try another brand of ammo (or some hand loads) along with the other suggestions here. I have a browning 223 that offers a sub-MOA guarantee. I have shot...
Prime habitat for a Kiwi though! You would be right at home with those chilly winds - just like Stewart Island;););)! ;);)And for the record we wear thongs not jandals - but man is this hard to explain in America!
"Time seems to slow down and everything is calm. No excitement, no shakes, nothing. I am fully concentrated, place the crosshair just behind the shoulder and squeeze the trigger. Shot is off and I know it’s good. I can see the place of the crosshair in my eyes when recoil throws the gun off...
Ironic that you blame brand bias for the overwhelming perception that said euro brands are the pinnacle of optics yet your obvious brand bias towards Meopta eliminates the validity of your opinion
Foxi - I think that is the most European hunting photo I have seen. I really enjoy seeing pictures of hunting in Europe!
I really enjoy Chamois hunting. I hunt them in New Zealand where you can hunt them on public land for free (small fee for hunting licence).

Yeah there are a few when you think about it - 6 species of deer (fallow, red, hog, sambar, chital, rusa) pigs, water buff, camels, brumbies, foxes, goats, wild dogs and cats plus other small critters.
As Bluey said there is a fair bit but often the better country is privately owned. I took these on private property in NSW. In Victoria probably the best deer country (for Sambar) is on public land.
Thanks Bill,
Fallow come in a number of colours. This is what we call 'common' but they also come in black and white. I just need a decent white one now and I might get all 3 mounted on one mount to display the different colour types.
This is a black one I took last year

That goat was really stinky. By the time I got back to him a few hours later he was bloated and fly blown. I don't think you would ever get the goat smell out of his cape so he stayed there for the eagles.
Hi K-man
As it is pretty early in the rut he was still carrying a bit of...
Got out for a quick hunt on Saturday morning. Up early but couldn't move too far as the fog was pretty thick and bumped a couple of animals that were not seen. Just as the fog was clearing this old one horned goat appeared. Decided to drop him because he has been eluding us for several years...
Good to see you here Robert,
For those who don't know - Robert and The Shooters and Fishers Party have done more for hunters, shooters and fishers (and generally all outdoor recreations) in NSW and probably Australia than any other single group. We have them to thank for the public land hunting...
