I had a Cooper years ago, 22 rimfire and I was very disappointed, but maybe that has changed now.

Would a heavily constructed shotgun slug stop a charging elephant? Something like a 600 grain brenneke slug at about 1500 fps out of a muzzle?

I load the 250 grain Sierra game kings in my 375 H&H and they are very accurate. I get 1 inch 5 shot groups at 100 yards using 4064 powder

does anyone out there know anything about Ultra Lux scopes? picked one up at a gun show cheap and the scope is nice and clear but the elevation and windage does not work. can't find much about them don't know whether their quality glass or junk.

Amen to that brother, I have a 500 S&W revolver and I have severe arthritis in my right shoulder, and when I fire it and vibrates all the way up my arm to that shoulder, you're right, getting old is the pits.

I've never been to Africa, and maybe I'll never get there, but if I could shoot only one plains game animal it would be the gemsbok. they are absolutely beautiful. those long straight horns, and I read they've even been known to kill lions with them.

I live in alaska, the bears can get pretty big down here where I live maybe 1000 pounds some of them. The Glock is not the most powerful handgun in the world but it is about on par with a 357 magnum. The nice thing is you have 16 shots.

double pistol! for when your jumped by a big thug in a dark alley. A stopping pistol for the city.

I have 3 10 millimeters, two Kimbers and a Glock 20. I think it is a great caliber. I carry the glock when I'm in the woods or fishing for Bear protection. it gives you 16 quick shots.

you can kill anything with a 22 long rifle, but I believed 223 Remington small deer would be as big as I would go. I think the excellent caliber for whitetail deer is the 270 loaded with a good 130 or 140 grain bullets

yes, I understand that humidity and temperature will change. I just put up yesterday as for an example. but the humidity has been very low here about 30 percent which is a good thing. thank you all.
