    Ruger precision rifle

Yeah shoot what the gun is sighted for. Too much messing around otherwise. Most accurate factory load I had put of my 700 was the 180 Superformance from honady. That's a pretty stout load though and all rifles, even same models sometimes are different.

    Blackbuck....Good to eat?

I got one with a bow down in Florida a few years ago. It was good just a little tough. Pound it out and make cube steak out of it. Also my wife makes venison parmasan (sp?) and it was really good in that. Just put it through the tenderizer for sure!

    Ruger precision rifle

Sorry the 300 win mag comment kind of hijcked your thread! The precision rifle looks like a really sweet rifle to shoot. Just not my style of gun to go hunting with. As ActionBob said though if thats what you want go with it! I only regret buying one gun and it was because i felt pressured...

    Ruger precision rifle

Overkill maybe but as one of the guys that turned me on to that caliber pointed out "we ain't taking prisoners". I whitetail hunt in North Carolina and haven't had a deer complain yet :) Mine is in a 700 which I love. If I were to have to choose a runner up I would go with the Ruger Hawkeye...

    Ruger precision rifle

Upgrade to a 300 Win Mag. Reloading I can get 30-06 recoil with a much flatter shooting round.

    Shrinking Into Convalescence

Maybe these people should have to go to a hog or chicken farm and processing plant before they are allowed to have an opinion.

    Shrinking Into Convalescence

It is very much the fact that many people no longer understand how nature works. I saw an excellent example of this just a few weeks ago in a park when a hawk swooped down and grabbed a squirrel on the ground. While the hawk was dispatching the squirrel a man and woman ran up screaming at it...

Advice for a Safari hunt with those who do not hunt

Peroze -I just got back form RSA with my wife a couple of weeks ago for our first trip to Africa. It was actually our honeymoon. I did all my hunting with a camera this time but I already started to plan a trip back and bring a bow or rifle. When I told my wife I wanted to go back next year...

    Kimber 8400 Caprivi

Great looking gun! I'm a huge fan of Kimber 1911's myself (I use a ultra as my CC) and I am looking at making an investment towards this gun as well. I've been going back and forth between this and a "standard" CZ but when I look at everyting the Caprivi comes with standard I think its worth...

    Hello from North Carolina!

Ah! yes I can see I have already miss spoken on here. Our trip was strictly wildlife viewing. All the perserves we visited were nonhunting. The only things that had to worry about being killed at my hands were the other drivers on the roads for the first several kilometers I had the rental...
