Hannes is a great PH with both rifle and the bow....you chose well!! Ask him the pros and cons of each of those options as he has a ton of experience in all of those locations on buff... You will have a great experience with him and his team.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that at all. I worked as film editor for 15 years and it just didn't look right to me, there were cutaway shots in a live action film. Really? And the the shot of the lion running off with the camera and showing the last shot he took...all the angles were wrong...

Good thread but Does anyone here ever check out snopes or other fact checking sites? That video was a total fake. Its been discredited for years. Knowing that its a fake actually makes it pretty funny.

Im sure you will take everything you need... I like to bring my own optics..your ph will have plenty, but i like to bring my own binos and a good spotting scope...lots of fun using them even when your not hunting..so much to see there. I also take my own ranger finder although phs's carry them...

Great thread..thanks for all the good info. I second using a clearing agent and using air...but like others have said, for my second trip to SA this july I most likely will come home with euro mounts this time to save the money for another trip.
