    Two Blade Broadheads or Three

Definitely agree on the "catch the buyer's eye" designs. I have used the Muzzy 3 blade Chisel Tips for quite awhile and have never been disappointed. The 130 Grain ones I will be using in Namibia has 3 blades w/chisel tip and they are 1 1/4". I believe they will work just fine, great penetration...

    Two Blade Broadheads or Three

It seems as though every thread I have read on this forum about bow hunting Africa leads to everyone's input towards 2 blade fixed broad heads and there never seems to be a mention of 3 or 4 blade broad heads. I was/am curious as to the reasons behind this. I tend to use 3 blade fixed here in...

    A simple question regarding arrows

I believe when it comes down to it, shot placement is the key, I would have to agree that a few grains, say +/- 50 wouldn't really matter if the shot is placed properly. I have been doing a lot of studying/researching on African animals compared to north American animals and their vitals sit...

    A simple question regarding arrows

Here are a few photos of the arrow case, 4 latches, 2 lock tabs and actually holds 18 arrows, 9 on each side with 2 foam type holders for your broad heads

    A simple question regarding arrows

Also on another note, just to give you an example, here are the minimum requirements in Namibia: Large Game Bow Kinetic Energy 65 ft/lbs Arrow Weight 450 grain (Greater Kudu, Cape Eland, Oryx / Gemsbok, Red Hartebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Black Wildebeest, Hartmann's Zebra, Burchell's Zebra...

    A simple question regarding arrows

Kal, I will send you a few pics of the arrow case to give you a better idea of the case. It is relatively light with 18 arrows and probably weighs no more than 4 pounds

    A simple question regarding arrows

I agree, arrow type is a definite. I am personally taking Easton's FMJ infused carbon core 300, 31" @ 11.5 GPI for 356.5 with muzzy 130 grain 3 blade chisel tip w/lighted nocks which brings my arrows to just over 505 grains. Should have no problem there. From my understanding, most Plains Game...

    A simple question regarding arrows

I have an arrow case that holds 18 arrows, made by Plano, it has 2 lock tabs for locks and even though I have not traveled with it internationally yet, I believe it would do just fine for travelling. I am currently planning my trip to Namibia for 6/15 and will be bow hunting. I will be taking at...

How often is the Black Mamba encountered?

I have just finished reading the thread "Black Mamba" and I was wondering How often does Black Mamba encounters happen? I don't really care for poisonous snakes at all. I am really excited to be putting my first trip together for Ozondjhe Safaris in Namibia and this being my first trip to Africa...

What are the chances of Lost Luggage

WOW, Great idea, and I will be travelling with my son-in-law and he will be bowhunting also. I don't know as of yet as I have not been there before, but what you said about them only misplacing on set definately eliminates that ugly chance of not shooting at all. GREAT RESPONSE!!!!

What are the chances of Lost Luggage

Thanks to all for the great info. I think this is the biggest fear I have. Getting over there and then having the whole trip ruined from lost items.

What are the chances of Lost Luggage

Hi all, I am currently in the planning stages of my first hunt in Africa, Nimibia in fact and I have heard/read some real horror stories about lost luggage, mainly your hunting equipment. I will be bowhunting and I will be taking 2 bows in a locked case along with a locked case of arrows. My...
