416 Rem Mag vs 404 Jeffrey

Yep. When I was looking at .400 something rifles that was definitely apparent. I'd love to have a Rigby but damn components are higher than giraffe vagine

It's just a CMP service grade.

416 Rem Mag vs 404 Jeffrey

This thread is bad for my wallet. I have an eye on a Mod. 70 in .416Rem. I'll be damned if I need another caliber to load for though. Might sell a M1 Garand and buy it anyway. :ROFLMAO:

Red dot options for CZ 550 in .458 Lott

Hands down my favorite rifle. Almost every bullet and load I've tried in it shoots great. Hitting 50lb blocks of steel at 100 and watching them cut flips like a quarter shot with a .22 makes me smile. ;-)

Savage weather warrior .300 Win Mag???

Sounds good to me. Buddy has that exact rifle. Shoot great, only issue I have with it is that's it peppy off the bench due to it being light. Would make a fine walking all day rifle.

Great article. Thanks. Canned hunts aren't hunts but just killing.

Wow that's a beautiful rifle. The bolt is on the correct side too. :D

    300 Weatherby

Love the .340Wby. You running 225gr TTSX or the 210gr? My older euromark loves TTSX

    Big Bore Addiction Group

Just saw this group... Can I join? I submit the following 350gr .458 bullet moving at 3000fps. Shoots clean through 7/8" AR500 hardened steel at 50m. ;-)

Experience with different brass? Best longevity?

Yep. Wish, Lapua made more calibers though.

    300 Weatherby

I had one for a bit. A beautiful Japanese made Mark V with a left handed action. In my opinion, this rifle was/is a bit too light for the recoil generated. My current .340wby and .460wby are much more pleasant to shoot comparatively. I find most .300 magnums to be too snappy vs the bigger...

My .416 Rigby application has been approved!

Congrats! Can't imagine having to justify a rifle purchase like you do in the UK. Shoot straight!

Taking the 375 for Florida hogs

That's awesome! I should have taken a picture of the sow I shot with a 500gr DGX moving at 2600fps. I tried after wards but there wasn't anything left. :D We did dirt nap this 230lb boar the other night with the thermals.

    .460 Hunting Rifle

Used a Leupold deltapoint on my .460. Mounted to a standard weaver 2pc base if I remember correctly. Works great!

    .450 Bushmaster thoughts

As I'm contemplating my load out for my trip to SA, I remembered I have a suppressed bolt action Savage in .450 Bushmaster. Loading the 275gr TSX in it makes it a fine wild hog rifle, and I believe it would be great for Warthog etc as long as the range was <200yds... I've read that suppressors...

    340 Weatherby

It's a fantastic cartridge. I stumbled on to one a couple years ago, A LH Mark V Euromark. If anyone needs load info for this cartridge give me a shout. My rifle definitely has a preference for TTSX and 250gr Partitions. It also shoots Sierra Match kings great though it's not really a hunting...

As to my hunting experience it is mainly centered around whitetail and wild hogs. The latter being my speciality. Night hunting is a fun activity especially when the temps and humidity are high down here in South Louisiana. Thermal optics with suppressed AR-15's operating at night is about as...

RSA. Don't have all the details yet but definitely want a Warthog. Other than that I'm open to what is available and what the PH recommends.
