Looking for best recommendations for hotels and restaurants in Capetown. Not on a budget.

Thanks

Mount Nelson or Cape Grace are the best of the best from what I have seen.

Admittedly I haven’t stayed at either of these hotels but I have had high tea at Mount Nelson and been to the whiskey bar at Cape Grace a few times. If budget was no concern I would pick one of these two.

How long will you be in Cape Town for?

I have a friend who books high end stays and hotels for clients I could give you his number if you want just send me a private message.

Couple years back we flew down for the madams birthday...spent 5 days at the victoria and Alfred hotel....was very nice all round....stayed at cape Grace many years ago and was good as well....but think was under going refurbishment when we went.... but the victoria ticked all my boxes ,especially for location to restaurants...bars and the V&A waterfront mall....plenty shops for the madam to indulge in... :X3: :E Big Grin: bout 4 min walk.....

Queen Victoria Hotel was very nice and great location.

We stayed at the Cape Grace in 2016. Loved it. Thought it was high end and good value with the exchange rate. Had a chauffeur and car to take us to dinner in the evenings. Saw Ethan Hawk in the elevator. We really enjoyed that hotel. Easy walk to the stuff at the waterfront and we felt safe even at night.

Unsolicited advice - with only 3 nights plan meals well in advance and make sure to understand when reservation open for booking. For 1 meal in Cape Town I know where I would go, for 3 it would be difficult to decide!

Quite enjoyed the V and A. Would go back again for sure.

If your into wine, they have beautiful wine country and wieners. I believe we went to Stellenbosh area if I am not mistaken.

3 nights!
Greenpoint, Seapoint or Camp's Bay. First two are close to a lot of restaurants and the ocean. Camp's Bay is stunning and situated at the foot of the mountain overlooking the ocean. Some incredible properties there.

I stayed in Westin once and i liked it.
Did not like One thibault so much.

My wife and I are finishing our trip next month in Cape Town and staying at the Breakwater lodge, supposed to be waterfront, Can give you a review once we get back in early June.

(1) The Table Bay Hotel (currently closed for renovations) (2) The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay (in their Summer time).
