Anybody have a good load for the 6.5 PRC using the Speer 140 grain Grand Slam or the 140 grain Nosler Accubond. I can’t find anything on the Speer but I have 1 of the powders for the Accubond. I have various powders and pretty stocked up on Varget, CFE223, H4895 or IMR4031 if any of those would work.

Thanks

Jaye

What powder do you have?

130 Swift /RL26 is my go to. Speed and accuracy.

140 Speer Gold Dot over RL26 was my most accurate.

142 ABLR was good with RL26, too.

Plus 124 Hammer, 120TTSX/H1000,,,all work in 2 different rifles.

Best powders have been RL26,
N570, H1000, H4831sc

RL25 works really well too. Have an accurate fast load with it and 140vld. Haven’t tried any other powders because of how well it performed.

Right now I have:
H4350, H4895, IMR4350,VARGET, CFE223, N140, MAGPRO, BIG GAME, & N555.

I am loading a 156 berger, But I am haveing good luck with N565. I hear good things about H1000 . I load H1000 in my 300wm with good results.
I would be looking at getting some N565, H1000, or H4831SC

I landed on N560 for 140 class bullets. H4831SC also performs well but is a bit slower in my 24" barrel.

Thanks guys for the info. I’ll check and see what of the powders mentioned are available.

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
