Reading that gave me a headache. I like the idea of the morons driving out to Texas to bring the feral donkeys “home.” I wonder what the fine for releasing large invasive mammals would be? Hopefully the California department of fish and wildlife is watching these lunatics.
Oh, well. The corruptifornicator lefty sickos are at it again. They want all this crap but don't want to take care of it themselves. Let the govt do it and then whine about the cost.

The fine is next to nothing, in Texas it's a class C misdemeanor punishable by $500 fine, second offense is a class B which is up to $2,000 fine and 180days in jail. I've never heard of anyone getting so much as a fine.

The parks service in Big Bend national park at one time was issues Ruger 77 .308's for the sole purpose of shooting feral donkeys; until several lawsuits were filed by people who like to watch them drink from the river.

Of course the animal rights activists claim that the donkeys were being killed because of the Big Horn sheep that the parks department is trying to protect in preference to "Wealthy Connected Hunters"; which is a crock of shit, because Big Horn sheep hunting is not allowed in the national park unless special dispensation is granted such as the "Texas Big Time Hunts" lottery which is open to the general public.

People think donkeys and horses are cute, but they don't understand that these animals can out travel native wildlife and will destroy water sources and then be able to move to another area to find water, while everything else in the ecosystem dies because they can't travel/make it to a new water source.

I've seen this first hand in the USA as well as Australia.

But what’s the time in CA? I assume that’s where the donkeys would be returned to. We tend to have pretty strict environmental laws.

NWTF is wants to establish turkeys in Riverside and we’d like to introduce some new genes down here as well but CADFW is pretty strict about how that’s done.

I would also assume that any fine would be per animal.

Those animals will be relocated to ranches that have the federal cash coming into them, so it's not considered releasing feral animals; it's "rehoming"

One ranch in North East Oklahoma has 2,100 horses on it and the federal government pays that ranch $3.25 per head per day..... $2.49Mil per year; they don't even have to feed these horses until temps drop below 40F and then it can jump to as much as $5 per head per day.

Just wondering if anyone watched this....legally defines what a woman is in law.....which some politicians..judges etc etc etc seem to have a problem working out....
I watched. I guess the Law Lords are not exactly a liberal bunch after all.

The UK started this recent sexual ambiguity BS and transphobia crap. Then the US liberals followed.

So it’s very heartening to see the UK may be reversing course.

Now since liberals worship Europeans perhaps they will follow this great first step. It may take them a few more years of nonsense. But they will eventually do it if for no other reason than to gain votes.

Unfortunately, the lunatics and morons you just mentioned also make up, run and oversee the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Why an ignorant public who subscribe to cartoon ecology and management of wildlife were given the ability to even vote on a mountain lion hunting ban is insanity (Mountain Lions of course are nowhere near endangered). Of course biologists should be making recommendations.

The deer herd is currently estimated at 475,000 currently but I believe it’s lower and mostly on private property. The deer herd was 2 million in 1960 and a million when I started hunting in the 70’s. Everything from initially claiming lead bullets were causing the demise of the California Condor and a ban on lead ammunition in the Central Valley all based on flawed science but no wait, they changed their minds to lead is just bad it must be banned statewide, never mind about the flawed science let’s just change the argument.

Mountain Lion (higher population than at any time) are banned from hunting nor can you legally hunt one in a different state and bring back to California, that’s a felony. Bobcat was banned for no reason, well eh, they are cute! For years the state made lots of money on tags for wild boar and managed them like a native species although they are quite clearly an invasive species but on the other hand removed all the non native Roosevelt Elk and mule deer on Santa Rosa Island (been there since President Theodore Roosevelt).

The lunatics managing California will never shoot some cute donkeys of course they’ll hire private contractors to eliminate wild pigs in some state parks, paying them millions, only for the population to recover and return. But wild pigs are ugly and not cute like donkeys. California is FUBAR and never coming back to sanity, not in my lifetime, which is why we left. Okay, rant over.

Another Joe Lonsdale company. This small company most likely pissed off Lockhead Martin, Raytheon, Grumman

This nimble company didn’t take 30 years to get this tool in the field.

Leonidas Kills drone swarms cheaply, instead of sending $500,000 weapons to kill a $500 drone. Not perfect or without holes. But another cheap layer of defense by the new business model of defense contractors.

When this broke last night I could not have been happier. She deserves what ever she gets. Per her own words: "No one is above the law."

She's about to find out the hard way, that includes her.
I agree but I'll believe it when it happens....jury pool.....New York?

On one hand I'm somewhat concerned about this, on the other it could create some opportunities to correct some big problems, like polar bears in general and grizzly bears in the lower 48...

As hunters, I think we need a voice to advocate for some "common sense" changes in the ESA.

I was recently "bragging" about having thinking I had every species of woodpecker in Georgia on our property. A wildlife biologist told me that I would be better off never seeing a Red-Cockaded Woodpecker here!
