Good Gun Deals This Week

One for the Aussies.

Or with the current exchange rates, even with shipping, it might be a good buy for someone in the USA at ~ US$11,700.

So there was a visit to the retail shop by a couple of tourists from Texas;)

A Holland and Holland Royal Double Rifle currently has a 5.5 year waiting list if ordered new and at a price of £185,000. Or roughly $240,000 at the exchange rate during the visit. This was right as Trump made the "Liberation Day" announcement and the World seemed to lose it's collective minds. Although the chaps (Charlie and Luke) at H&H were not phased and pounted out that Great Britain was already under Tarriffs of roughly half the 10% they recieved.

Turns out the lovingly beautiful wife put in an offer on the afore mentioned rifle at a considerable discount to the asking price;)

Early the next week, said offer was accepted:) Turns out Charlie convinced the seller that the economic sky might be falling and such an offer should not be passed again. (An identical offer had apparently been turned down some months earlier.) Then as luck would have it. The exchange rate also backed down a bit by the time it was needing to be paid.
Congratulations on an amazing purchase. Y’all will be very happy with the rifle. Met Luke at a few shows and he’s great to chat with. He likely would’ve sold me a magazine rifle if I knew my check wouldn’t have bounced.

Your timing was impeccable with the exchange rates. I never get that lucky

Congrats again! I showed the pictures and our text string to Wendy. She’s so happy for you both. Gina is setting such a good example for Wendy! :P Cheerleader: Perhaps I can get Wendy to London soon! Lol.

Our son just got a work transfer to Houston so we hope to stop by and see you guys on a road trip to see him sometime. I have to take his full body Dall’s sheep and a few other things to him so we will be driving through Texas.

You might want to stop into the vault at Gordy & Sons when you visit. It’s not quite Holland & Holland, but it could be the US Rigby showroom. One of the guys at Rigby last year joked how Gordy’s had more Rigby’s than they had there at Rigby. Gordy’s will have a few Hollands and Purdey’s in the vault to drool over. You’ve also got the Holland & Holland Showroom in Dallas you can stop at on your drive.

Congratulations @ActionBob on finding such a good wife like @Just Gina, who will spoil you in such a spectacular way!

And in .500NE to boot, an absolute dream rifle. This will be a treasure to pass down generations. I hope you make many memories with it!

I think this is a really nice rifle that will hold its value for the money.

Dang somebody buy this before I get more tempted! I’ve already got three 375 H&H rifles so definitely don’t need it.

I believe there are better options out there for a rifle to be hunted with, but if you just need one to round out a collection, this is actually a fairly well priced SG. Also, if Gordy & Sons believes it to be the McCoy, it almost certainly is.

Saw a left-handed Montana Rifle Company 6.5x55 Swede for $1099 at Cabela's that looked kind of interesting. I really like my Ruger No. 1A in that chambering shooting 140gr Partitions. It has a great track record for dropping deer in their tracks. I thought this might be of interest to someone:

Hi. My name is odonata & I have an addiction to buying rifles I don't actually need. I love my left-handed Sako 85 Hunter chambered in 30-06. It's the most accurate rifle in my safe. I absolutely do not need to buy another one in 270 Win but my brain is trying to convince me of all the cool calibers I could rebarrel this rifle to. My problems will be solved if one of you will buy it for $1,399. Otherwise, there's a strong probability that some dubious financial logic will convince me to make another bad decision...

Pull the trigger. It will only go up in value! You deserve it! Buying a good rifle only hurts once! (Anymore moral support needed just let me know).

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
