I really hope this body of knowledge can help. I recently acquired a Winchester model 70 in .416 Rem Mag that has a tuner. I would like to replace the tuner with a muzzle brake. I have been told that the tuner has different threads than a muzzle brake and can’t swap them. So ok. Does anyone know of a place that will custom make a muzzle brake with different threads? Or a company that makes muzzle brakes that will do a custom thread?
Thanks.

I'd find out what the threads are before looking for a custom job

I wonder if this is the BOSS system? It was my understanding that Winchester made these with either a break or just the weight to fine tune the barrels. You might look for the BOSS break. Not sure if Winchester parts might still be available. You could also probably just have the Tuner drilled out, same as a break. You might try these guys out as well.
