Classic and Collectible Car and Motorcycle Thread

I wanted to buy one At just under $100k the owner had 3. The age old story. My wife didn’t see the long term incentive  my main selling point.

I have reminded her several times. Every time I see one I look to see what that year model is currently fetching. It’s usually in the 5 times original price range.

Unbelievable cars here and what a collection @Rockwall205 has!!!

This one isn’t mine but he pulled up at the shooting range yesterday. It a 65 Bonneville with a Tri-Power 389! Thought I’d share it with you as it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor!

My pair until recently. Sold the ‘vette. I like to drive aggressively and I always felt the ‘ vette was just waiting to throw me into a tree. Kinda like a horse, but with worse consequences. The German feels like a true ol’ school analog driving machine. Night and day difference on driving each one. Much more attention to balance required on the rear engine Porsche.

I like it! Should have held onto the GT though!!! You’re gonna regret letting that one go…
I would if I would drive it but it was getting close to 2000 miles on it and I just couldn’t bring myself to put too many miles on it . Same with the F8 . The rest I don’t think about it just jump in and drive them .

They are great to look at and polish, but I like to drive them as well .

How is the Tributo to drive? I’ve never driven one… The McLarens are insane in the corners and even off the line but the SL63 with its 700hp and 800ftlbs of torque is almost unbeatable and scary from a roll!!! You will jump from 30mph to over 150mph in just seconds and it’s still pulling like it’s 30mph!

It’s the fastest car I have ever driven 720 hp with impeccable handling . Hands down the best car I have ever driven ! BUT I couldn’t stop driving it the way it’s supposed to be driven so only a matter of time until it got me thrown in jail so decided to take it down a couple of notches…

But I do have a deposit down on a 2025 ZR1 Corvette. 1064 Hp monster. So I’m in line just don’t know yet if I’m going to buy one .

2009 911 Turbo coupe (997.2) with manual 6-speed transmission. One of only 50 imported that year so a bit of a unicorn in the Turbo world. 2009 was also the last year of the legendary Mezger block, hence the vanity plate.

Super nice! Is that the race engine block they were using in the 99’s?

It’s an ‘01 911 Carrera Cabriolet 996. First model with the water cooled engine and ugly headlights. Porsche purist hate them, but they seem to be growing in appreciation as all the air cooled peeps die off.

A friends daughter sorted some of his photos out and he sent me some of them a while ago....this was back in the late 1980s early 90s....not a bad trio of cars... :E Big Grin:

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
