Back in September of last year I had a fantastic hunt with Stephen Bunn of Walkabout Safaris. As well as a superb old banteng I took my second Water Buff. The first water buff I took back in 2023 is currently with my taxidermist.
Stephen and I were talking about what to do with this one to display it and he suggested (and then arranged) for a local aboriginal artist to paint it.
It arrived back in New Zealand this week.
Should look great up on the wall.

Tasteful. Even the missus could not disapprove. Goes to show not every hunting memento has to be a full shoulder mount.
Congrats, again. A great buff.
Do you know if the colours used are the genuine and traditional organic materials ?
