Added a 5lb 260 to the stable, found a Rem 700 BDL SS DM in the box never fired from 1999. New TriggerTech (love them), with lightened metal and she is a match to the others. Working on a load with some 130 accubonds. So far of the 5 powders and loads tried it likes W760, RL 15 and IMR 4350, did poor with RL19 and IMR 4831. Got 15 various loads to shoot today, with the 4350, RL15 and 760 got under .5 with 3 shot groups yesterday. Hoping for a little better with tweaked .5 gr loads today, if not I go back to what she liked yesterday as my hunting load. Hoping the 4350 wins as I have lbs of that and use in no other gun. RL's up here are like gold now that they are not imported.

BTW the price stamp on the 4350 is $15.99 from Yeager's in Seattle, been awhile in the powder safe. Spending life in the military and being in the US monthly helped fill this Canadians loading room stock levels in retirement. Call me a component hoarder.

In the middle of some load development. Beginning 7x57, 175gr A-Frame, H4350 and R 9-1/2. Finishing 8x57IRS, 159gr Hammer, IMR3031 and R 9-1/2. In the middle of 9.3x62, 258gr Hammer, CFE223 and GM210M.

just got done loading 500 38 super with brand new starline brass 6.6gr of power pistol pushing a .356 125gr hornady Hap bullet. I really can't wait to blast these off and repeat the process

With the winter weather here in Minnesota and if your reloading station is in your garage there is a limited amount of time I can spend in the garage, so when the latest heat wave (47deg) as a high I took the opportunity to load a 100rds of 38 Super

I loaded some 297/250 rook today for a takedown Westley Richards. I only had 15 prepped cases and you don't want to crunch one of those buggers. It's a modified 22 Hornet case with 2.0 grains of Unique and 55 grain .25 cast. I need to get some more cases made but you need a lathe.

Nearing the end of the annual brass prep for 7 cartridges, 9 barrels, around 2,000 brass. All turnbolts. Then I'm GTG for the shooting season. The gas guns are fed factory fodder only.
 
I also loaded some 375 H&H with 270 TSX for an upcoming black bear hunt in Saskatchewan. Most guys like to take something smaller but I like to get exits on these bears. Taking the Champlin .375 this time but with a different scope than pictured (Swaro Z8i 1-8x).

I started 200 rounds of 38 special the other day. Hopefully finish them tonight.
RCBS 38-150 SWC sized to .357 over 4 grains of W231.
I tried my new Redding seating die instead of my RCBS, it’s much better for lead bullets.
 
I have come a full circle from where I started. For my DRs I started with no crimping. Then I went to using my seating due for crimp but did not like the “dented” slight look. I have now become an absolute fan of ordering the Lee large bore custom dies…I clearly can easily see the crimp and believe they give me more consistent performance with my reloads
 
Loaded 100 more 230gr snake eggs while a batch of .45 brass was being cleaned this afternoon.

I finished up a load for my 9.3x62 yesterday. Both targets have the same load, loaded at the same time. The only difference is the crimp on the second target and a scope adjustment I made after shooting the first target. The load uses Lapua brass, GM210M primer, CFE223 powder and 258gr Hammer bullet.

The last four shots sure put a smile on my face.

I loaded 2 ends of the spectrum today...45 Colt for my USFA Lightning rifle...and 6.5 Creedmoor for my Accuracy International rifle.

The Lee crimp die is a great piece of kit. I especially like it as the last stage on a progressive press.
 
Annealed some .416 Rigby brass today. As much as I like even bigger calibers, the .416 Rigby is my favorite for DG. If I could only have one, that would be it.

Good question but on this used brass, I wasn't sure of how many times it was fired. It was a little work hardened in the dies so I set it aside for annealing. I don't know that it needs it this often but I probably go 3-4x and then anneal.

Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.
