I’m in the Dallas area looking to buy a 404 Jeffrey. If anyone wants to sell one, let me know. Thank you for your time.
 
Any idea what you are looking for or are you wide open?

Hi duckfish,

The idea that Krish describes is very doable, if you can deliver your project components to a professional Gunsmith-Rifle Builder and wait awhile until it is completed.

Yours truly did exactly that for my .458 Lott,
pictured below.
First I bought a used CZ 550 Magnum rifle, in caliber .375 H&H.
Then, I hired a Rifle Builder-Gunsmith (Jim Kobe, in Minnesota) to rebarrel and re-work it into a very fast handling, large bore rifle.

When completed and I received it up here in Alaska, it was still a little bit persnickety while cycling it with live rounds.
And so, I had local Gunsmith, Andy Hawk slick it up.
It is now very smooth feeding, reliable, etc.
I like this rifle very much, even though the most dangerous animals that I have shot with it have so far, all been made of paper,stapled to cardboard.

@krish always has the nicest items for sale. That's a good option to consider. If you want to break open the piggy bank, there is a top notch Joe Smithson/Granite Mountain build on GI for 17k. No connection to the seller but Joe Smithson is one of the finest DG builders on the planet.
 
Why wasn’t listed on AH first? Feels like an injustice. :)

Some of the well known sellers (Champlins for example) keep guns listed that have been sold in their inventory list to generate traffic. I have guns I bought from Champlins 3 years ago that are still listed. They aren't being unethical as they wouldn't sell it again but it does generate traffic to their offerings. It's just hard to tell what is really there sometimes.
 
Have a 404j in Iceland built of a mauser action message me if interested..can easily export

At the risk of being struck by lightning, I disagree. I think he could keep the scope and still make money on the rifle. :)

Searches still bring up Hallowell listing going numerous years back, but they are not still listed on their site.
 
I’m in Denton Co I and have an AHR DGR in 404 that I could possibly be talked out of. Also have factory ammo and reloading components to go with it.

Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

I have made it to Atlanta this morning, few other outfitters on same flight and our luggage never came trough, looks like mine will go via France to Denver hope it gets there before the ISE show starts on the 8th TOMORROW!
