One of the most under appreciated cartridges of all time..25-06 Remington, 120 gr Hornady HP.
Comes with a full dose of N565 from a 26" barrel
Hornady discontinued this bullet a long time ago.
But I still have supplies and it is still fine for my Mauser M98.

Just planing my around Australia trip.In Australia the 25-06 is suitable for 95% of game hunted in my opinion.
Then again I do like fast 25s.

Now I think about "travelling with gun"!
HWL
@HWL
So it looks like you want to do about 5,000 miles thru five states with a rifle. You will need a permit for every state.
Good luck.
Bob
@R eightWA will be the only hiccup. All of the other states recognise the others licenses…WA only recognise their own. Getting a permit from them will be like winning gold lotto.
@HWLWas just an idea, did not know Australia also is kind of a dictaturship, that disarm it's citizens.

@50GunnerWhimpy, whimpy I know LOL, but put up a couple hundred rounds of 38 Super today for my Nighthawk Custom double stack and Dan Wesson Guardian, all Starline Comp brass cases, 125gr Barnes copper hollow points and 137gr Hammer bullets, both over Longshot powder, the Barnes runs 1326 fps, the Hammer 1350, great SD and woods carry loads.
I love 1911's and especially in the 38 Super round.
