Punishments for infractions on Africa Hunting

Or the
If i werent already booked for a hunt this season
Guys

#7 Reply to wanted ad with a nice rifle at a reasonable price but will not ship it to you under any circumstances, because Alaska and all.
Punishment: 2 week January stay in Utqiagvik

Guilty. But have mercy, I don't hate Alaska, I HATE the USPS. To send to AK for less than many hundreds of dollars, I have to go to the USPS. I charge $1000 to enter their doors. :)

I get really irritated by the eventual response to every great deal posted for an iconic hunt of an iconic animal. "GOT MY LOTTERY TICKETS BOUGHT!"

Punishment is they have to never buy another lottery ticket but rather put that money in a cookie jar... Probably adds up to $100 - $600 per month. Quit smoking and put that $300/month in the jar. Stop drinking and that $700 in the jar. Then each month they must invest every penny that is in the jar into a Hunt Africa account and when it attains the needed amount they must actually book a hunt special instead of giving it lip service.

A weekend with Kamalatoe in a Motel 6?

Now that right there is a cruel and unusual type of punishment that no one except for her husband needs to suffer from.

I'd say just trying to make any sense out of what she is saying is bad enough.

Let’s add Canada into this as well! It’s an easy process people!

I've often wondered how hard it would be to switch from a right-hand shooter to a left. I'm left-eye dominate anyway, and there are some beautiful rifles that sit around longer than they should.

Practice enough with an inexpensive LH .22 and you will develop the muscle memory.

I’m both, right handed, and right eye dominant and I shoot left. My father was left handed and shot left handed. I shot right handed rifles, BB Guns, and air rifles left handed since I was 4 years old. I assume that the rifle always went to my left shoulder and eye and no one corrected it. That said, I can shoot right handed on both, rifles and shotguns, and have shot right handed when required. I started rifle hunting with a RH Browning A-Bolt in 7MM REM MAG and hunted it on 2 Safaris with great success shooting it left handed most of the time. I also shot many North American animals with it LH. I now have left handed rifles for hunting. My over under 12 gauge Browning is cast neutral and I close my right eye when bird hunting left handed. When I practice right hand sporting clays or trap, I keep both eyes open.

@Brod Try shaving and brushing your teeth left-handed for a month or two; if you can learn to do that without beating up your face too bad, you probably can be ambidextrous enough to shoot L handed. If not, you've got your answer.

I had to learn to use both hands for fine motor skills for work and that's how we did it.

Fun Fact: Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins QB) was born R handed, but his Southpaw father taught him to throw L handed...... and he spins it pretty good.

I have another one:

Whenever you bring up more than once a month the exact same situation or item, as punishment you must put this item up for sale, or offer a free animal for someone else's hunt.

Suggesting using inappropriately small calibers for big game hunting.
Punishment: Face down a tuskless elephant with a rifle that only holds .22 short, subsonic loads.

New thread post coming up! "Best .243 Eland Load?"

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe

Hi Walden. Good morning from England, Chris here (The Englishman!) from Croatia. Firstly it was a pleasure to meet you and Michelle - a fellow Sanderson! I have finally joined AH as I enjoy it very much. Glad you enjoyed the hunt and your write up which I read on AR was very good indeed. I am sending on WhatsApp pics from Bojan of some of the animals hunted recently. Take care and best regards. CS.
