I pulled the scope and it’s easier but it’s not easy, thing is rifle is left handed and I’m not left handed I’m right handed the bullets aren’t touching the lands but I’ll say it does seem to have a bit tighter chamber now with the scope gone it’s been easier for me to close but I’m having to...
Hey I just went through and tried more of that brass I’m telling ya it’s my gun don’t like that brass some of it loads and chambers some of it the bolt won’t close on it it’s all brand new unfired brass and it measures under the case length so I may try to see if someone wants to trade me or buy...
I sure don’t I may have to just send this back to Hornady for a refund this is very odd to me I was able to chamber and shoot some of the Hornady brass and it got significantly worse as I went through the bag of brass now none of Hornady will chamber
Yeah I got back the brand new brass and tried it yesterday evening and it still doesn’t want to chamber in the rifle I’m receiving today another set of brass completely different brand I’m going to see how it works if that doesn’t work it’s the rifle has some issue
The terrible thing that happened is the new factory ammo used Hornady brass I recieved it yesterday and it would not chamber into my gun, I’m really at my wits end on this and I’ve spent some money that’s now thrown away trying to figure it out, either something is wrong with this rifle which I...
So an update
I purchased a five pack of some factory made ammo from a company called grizzly safari and what do you know the brass was Hornady brass and guess what same issue it will not chamber into my gun, I am getting fed up with this and spending money on ammo and brass for it not to work. I...
Thanks for the guidance I will consider that collet die I did purchase myself some Redding dies to try over my older Lee dies to see if this changes anything I have also some different factory ammo coming too
And this is irregardless of if the brass has been resized it still acts this way I also picked up another set of Redding dies rather than the Lee dies I’m using to see if this helps and factory ammo
Hey I was gonna tell you I tried something with that Hornady brass I am able to get it to chamber and function with the unfired new brass, but I have to rotate it until I find the sweet spot then the bolt will close to me this tells me the brass is out of shape perhaps the belt or something it...
Yep this is the same stuff might just be my gun doesn’t like this brass because it all measures out to proper spec so I don’t know I’ll try different brass
I’ve got a bag of fifty pieces of 416 rem mag I have shot about ten rounds or so from it the spent cases will be included with the untouched brass so 50 pieces total
$75
I’m going to get some new brass entirely what sucks is I’ve got fifty pieces of brass and prolly can’t use it I’ll sell it maybe someone else might have a chamber that doesn’t mind it
Well I took the brand new virgin brass and loaded it after checking the brass was under the trim length I just loaded the brass and it’s worked on some of the rounds and some not I just am going to try different ammo
