Kharg Island certainly makes strategic sense regarding both Iran and China. 1. Chokes off life support for IRGC while maintaining leverage over a successor government. 2. Continues the strategy of Panama Canal, Greenland, Venezuela in leashing China and controlling choke points. Other...

For anyone who has ever heard “Rule Britannia “ this has to be tough. (I read a similar post on X but can’t find it now to give the individual credit). https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15621801/amp/HMS-Dragons-mission-Cyprus-delayed-dockyard-works-nine-five-Monday-Friday.html

Regarding the open Oklahoma Senate seat. Governor Stitt will appoint a new Senator after Mullins confirmation. That Senator can not run in the next election per Oklahoma law so his term would only be around nine months. Governor Stitt is termed out. It sounds like he is considering running...

You are correct. Good job calling me out. I misunderstood the congressional hearings. It was the staffers husband and not Noem’s husband.

You are correct. Paxton did say that while condemning Cornyn which I take as continued election sparing. I was going off the previous paragraph where Paxton says he would consider dropping out “if Senate leadership agrees to lift the filibuster and passes the Save America Act.” Which can...

I certainly don’t know what Paxton means by “lifting the filibuster” but he certainly didn’t say “abolish the filibuster in its entirety”. He may mean exactly what I wrote above. Make the Senate talk then vote. The silent filibuster came about in the 70’s. Senators have hid behind it ever since.

Azerbaijan supplies around 30% of Israel’s oil by pipeline through Georgia and Turkey. Kazakhstan does similar amounts and they may be using the same pipeline. That seems to be reason enough. As someone here mentioned it could be as simple as a dying snake striking everything it can reach.

That’s not what I said at all. Let the filibuster work the way it was intended and the way it used to work. If Senators want to talk let them talk till they drop and take a vote. That way all Senators are on the spot with their vote. Don’t let them hide behind the threat of a filibuster and do...

If Paxton can do this and get the Save Act passed it might exceed anything he would ever be able to do as a Senator.

Noem was marginal as a secretary. The advertising campaign was ridiculous. Especially letting her husband profit off of it. Saying the boss approved :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: A one two punch with Mullin and Homan is about as no nonsense as they come. Mullin should do a much better job than...

This doesn’t seem very impressive for an incumbent who only beat the challenger by 2%.
