good advice, I had a pair of Talleys on my 416 that shifted forward on the last test before going to Mozambique, and on the first day at the range it was out, so a bit of fluffing around and I reset the mounts in camp and re sighted the rifle. not what I wanted but I know my rifle well and knew...
this is my 1972 zkk602 freshly restocked, factory chambered 416 Rigby, I am thinking of replacing the rear sight with a flat and use the pop up peep as the back up sight, as currently it has a Swaro z61 1-6x24EE, weighs in at 11lb, shoots wouldligh 450g very well
I hunted plains game in Botswana in 2024 and took my Brno zg47 in 9.3x62, shot warthog up to eland with the 286g oryx hand loads. And could not be happier.
Have a look for a brno zg47 action, i have a 9.3x62 built on one and it is an outstanding action for that caliber, i like the 24 in barrel for this caliber, you get the most out of it.
Eye relief is lacking on most, Swarovski z6EE is the best DG scope made but going for rediculas prices now, if and when they show up. But the that cheap little fx2 from Leopold is good also.
