    Turkey Calls

I make my own calls. I carry a box call, a slate over glass pot, and a crystal over slate.

    Elk guide recommendations

In Montana you can apply with a guide and buy and additional point for a total of two. The max points you can have is three. Two points is not quite a guaranteed draw but the percentage is pretty high. This is all for a general area tag. If he wants to hunt a limited entry area, he will need...

Large magnum rifle primers - brand preference?

I prefer CCI in large magnum and Winchester in standard LR. I ran out of CCI and now have Winchester for both, but haven't really loaded enough with them to draw and conclusions yet.

    Turkey

My season doesn't open until next weekend both TN and KY. I have a new 20 ga to try out and trying to decide which of the new box calls I made I'm going with.

    Range issues

That is why I said I couldn't tell from your post what he was doing "wrong". I have reread your post and still see no explanation of what the safety violation. What did the range officer that threatened to to kick him off say it was?

Has anyone else been injured while hunting away from home?

Nothing too serious, just a bad case of scope eye from a poor shooting position while elk hunting in Montana. The funny part is I could feel the blood running down my face, and asked my buddy how bad was it. He just replied "bad". We had two elk down and snow was moving in, so we had work to...

Just got engaged (again) now a question

I only wore mine for six months before I had a near degloving experience. I’ve now been married 33 years. The lack of me wearing a ring has not changed anything in my marriage commitment.
