Woodleigh 9.3mm 320gr RNSP Minimum Expansion Velocity

Yes, the 9.3x74R could do more, but my double regulates perfectly at 2100fps.

Woodleigh 9.3mm 320gr RNSP Minimum Expansion Velocity

Thankyou, very useful information. I have a Merkel double rifle drilling that regulates this bullet extremely well. I am confident taking a shot with this load and reliably placing my shot up to a maximum of 150m. Muzzle velocity is 2100fps 50m 1970fps 100m 1850fps 125m 1800fps 150 1740fps I...

    But at what muzzle velocity?

Woodleigh 9.3mm 320gr RNSP Minimum Expansion Velocity

Does anyone have any experience with the Woodleigh 9.3mm 320gr RNSP, in terms of what is the minimum impact velocity before it will fail to expand? Woodleigh quotes a very narrow window of 2000-2200 feet per second. This seems very narrow, and in a real world situation it would not take much to...

    Blaser R8 for Dangerous Game

It’s nothing to do with the illumination control. The longer rails were originally designed to work with the discontinued blind magazine R8 model. This model has long been discontinued and the longer rails now do not serve a use. All rails now produced will be the shorter rails. I like them, bit...

    9.3x64 Brenneke

Yes I have often thought the same myself. I am a left handed shooter in Australia, and the options on Egun are just not available in Australia. I would love to be able to import.

    My Ferlach Custom .505 Gibbs

Congratulations, that will be a very special rifle. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to visit and tour two, of the Ferlach craftsmen in 2017, Johann Fanzoj, and Karl Hauptmann. I met the owners of both and spent half a day with them. The standard that the Ferlach gunmakers build to...

Noblex Red Dot Sights - Feedback?

I may be wrong, but my understanding was that Noblex is the old Docter Optic company rebranded. I would expect them to be very good. I have been using two Docter three sights for many years without any issues.

    9.3x62

That H&K 940 brings back some memories. I had a 940 and a 770 (I think that is correct?. It was the 308 version). Unfortunately in 1996 we had a forced gun buyback and I watched both of them get completely crushed. They were both fantastic rifles. Is that 940 yours? Do you still have the...

    Blaser R8 for Dangerous Game

I went through the same process many years ago. I don’t use a red dot for longer range or small targets. I find the 3.5 much quicker to get off a second shot in bright sunlight. But that’s my eyes, everyone’s different. Not sure if you have seen this before, but maybe it will assist you. All...

    Blaser R8 for Dangerous Game

Another advantage of some aftermarket Blaser mounts is height. Henneberger make some especially low red dot mounts that bring the dot much lower. This is my 500 Jeffery with a Henneberger mount that keeps my head firmly supported on the stock. It makes a massive difference compared to the...

    Blaser R8 for Dangerous Game

I am the same, I always have to either buy a scope with long eye relief or move it right back. I can vouch personally that the Innomount solves this problem. They are a really high quality mount. I really like the self torque feature of the feet, absolutely brilliant design.

    Blaser R8 for Dangerous Game

Yes you are absolutely correct. I always tighten front foot first, then rear. I take them off in the opposite sequence. I do oil the feet, it’s pretty hard not to get a small amount of oil run in. I rub a little bit of alcohol in the scope mount recesses with a cotton bud before fitting a scope...
