My import agent actually found a slight error in my name on the paperwork done by the taxidermist. Something that I may have thought nothing of, but potentially could have caused big issues upon arrival. Probably saved me a bunch of money and headaches!

I think some hunting packages include the VAT. I remember reading somewhere that it didn’t have to be the entire trophy to avoid the VAT, which is obvious since most do only shoulder or Euro Mounts. Would exporting just parts of the animal like the tails or maybe teeth count, to avoid the VAT.

No You still have to deal with customs, USDA and Fish and Wildlife all on thier timeframe.

I’ll have to look at it again and see. It’s a 3/4 in bolt coming out of the bottom, so I don’t think there’s any bending that. Maybe I could put it through my pedestal top(3/4in ply) at an angle, and attach a 4x4 support block on the underside to stabilize it.
