The locking hubs were a popular dealer installed ‘option’. The ones sold on my new 1972 FJ40 were Warn hubs. If factory installed they would have been Aisin hubs.

Same color as my first FJ40, bought new in 1972 ($3800 out the door). I've had five TLCs since, including my current 2001 100 series and my 1993 FZJ73 - a six cylinder diesel. For over 50 years I have owned Landcruisers! Congratulations on a very nice 'Cruiser!

John McLaughlin of Helena MT has done the metal work on three of my Model 70 rebarreling, profiling, truing actions, chambering, crowning. He is an excellent metalsmith.

RWS offers (or once offered) loaded ammunition for the 404 Jeffery (10.75 X 73) with 400 grain projectiles. I believe that DWM provide some big bore cartridges as well.
